I'm home sick today with a super bad cold / sinus infection. I've been doing everything I can think of to try to feel better - warm baths, OJ, chicken soup, warm honey and lemon tea. Is there anything else you can think of? I'm about ready to saw my nose off.
Oh, and don't suggest extra rest. That would just be a cruel joke. This one day is all I'm ever going to get (and it will be over by 6pm when my lazy azz husband gets home with LO).
Re: Cold remedies please
My SO gets sinus infections all the time. The only thing that helps is flushing every few hours. Be sure to boil water first or use bottled water. It's amazing what comes out....disgusting, but good to get the nastiness out of there.
I'm also in love with the NetiPot. I've been using it morning and night for the last two weeks or so. I'll make it my FFMC that I love watching all the gunk fly out.
At this point, I'm feeling tempted to flush my sinuses out with lysol. That would probably be a bad idea.
I think DH will be on his way to Walgreens when he gets home. I do need some NyQuil. I stayed home today more because I was so exhausted from being up all night coughing than the runny nose and achy body.
