To my boys: I will love you for you Not for what you have done or what you will become I will love you for you I will give you the love The love that you never knew
I am doing one of the jar mixes (you layer the dry ingredients) for a recipe called Friendship Soup. I'm creating a recipe card for it that will include the recipe and directions.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to make some salted caramels and give them in tins. Maybe 5 or 10 GC to a coffee shop attached. Between teachers and therapists I have 10 people to make/buy for this year. I think I'm also going to do something for the front desk staff. They're always so awesome while DS tries to talk their ears off while we wait.
I'm also making food in a jar mixes. I'm going to do a brownie mix and a macadamia white chocolate chip cookie mix.
While we are here, can I ask another question? If you send out holiday cards, do you give one to each of these people as well? Do you give just one to the "office" as a whole? Do you not give one?

Oh thank God someone asked because I'm looking down the "barrel" of a whole team and have no idea what to get them. There's his teacher, the 3 (or 4?) classroom assistants, his PT, his ST, his OT, his school bus driver and matron! That could get very costly very fast. *sigh*
We do gift cards- usually $25 each, to Target. When DS was 1 and 2 I gave gifts to everyone, aides, bus drivers, anyone. It got a little ridiculous because I was giving things to people I've never met or heard from, so recently I've pared down to just the main teacher and the therapists he sees the most often.
Btw if you do choose to give to everyone, I really don't think you have to get nuts. The first year I did a little local gourmet food item (about $5 per). Another year all Starbucks cards for $5 or $10.
Re: Gifts?
i'm making these mugs and fillingg them with homemade marshmallows and cocoa. for our SLP i'm inluding a donation to NDSS as her son has Ds.
