My boss at the preschool where I worked up until L was born just called and offered me a job from January to March, my choice of full or part time, with option to renew in April. One of their teachers resigned suddenly. I've been applying for jobs for the new school year starting in April so this would be perfect, plus it's walking distance to my house. L can attend once she turns two but until then it means day care, and if there's none available from January that means I'll have to decline. We're going to call some places tomorrow so please cross your fingers for me that we find her a spot, 'cause an extra two thousand bucks a month would be really nice!

    Exciting! Hopefully it works out for you that you can find childcare for LO! If you cannot find a daycare, have you given any thought to a nanny or someone that is in college or looking for temp work? With the fact that its within walking distance to your house, maybe having someone come there instead of you taking LO to a center would cut out driving time. And an added perk would be that person watching LO could go for a walk to your work around your lunchtime and you can have lunch with LO. It would get LO out of the house and you would get to eat lunch together!
