As of right now, I can not stand for someone to touch my belly! I'm not rude when they do it, I just grin and accept it, because it usually only last a few seconds. I feel the reason is, because I can't feel the baby move yet. So, by them touching my belly, I feel like they're just rubbing my fat around. Very uncomfortable....but I suppose worse things could happen.

Re: Don't touch my belly....rant.
I think it depends who does it for me. My aunt was the first one who has done it and it was last night. She did it when she first saw me and saying goodbye. I didn't have the heart to tell her that where she was patting was my intestines not the baby...
I would say if it is someone close to you, just let it go unless it is excessive. They are just excited for you and "their" new baby. If it is someone not as close, ask them not to do it.
That cracks me up....I usually just let it go anyway, I haven't had the same person do it more than once. Also, I think if I could feel him move, then I would be a little more comfortable with it.

I cant take it either! I am not sure that I am showing or if I am just fat (husband proudly says I am def showing) because most of the time people think I am just fat. Saturday night my MIL (who has not seen me in two weeks) was all over my belly. Three or four times she rubbed it and talked to it. Then my brother-in-law did it too! I was super embarassed! They are rubbing my fat around!
Today I have been feeling nothing but flutters and kicks from the LO but I still cannot feel it outside of my body. Even when I can though, I think that people need to understand that my belly is mine, not theirs. I just have NO idea how to make them understand.
EDD 1/31/13, MC May 17. EDD 3/31/13, MC July 26. I miss you so much already my angel loves
MIL and I haven't been seeing eye to eye for almost two years now
My MIL did it a few weeks ago. I told her the baby is a few inches below there actual but that she prolly didn't want to rub there
I haven't had anyone else other than DH do it yet. I'm not looking forward to this. I'm pretty sure I personally have never rubbed a pregnant women's belly. Is it too much to ask that no one does this to me?
Ugh...try 7 years. She is very rude and tacky with me, um...most of the time. I just pray that when I have a daughter-in-law that she never thinks this of me.

I hate when people do that. It hasn't happend yet but I'm not showing yet. (just past 15 weeks so maybe soon)
I do not look forward to that. Last two times I had that great hard bump and nothing else. This time I was heavier when I got pregnant so although I have a bit of a stomach, it's all me so far. EDIT and even with the extra weight, I don't look pregnant yet. I hope to soon.
Oh me too. She started to like this when we told her we were expecting our first. She doesn't even acknowledge DS and I am sure the same will happen with this LO but I am lucky to have 2 MIL 's and my other is an angel.
MIL did that to me - we told his parents at 11wks, and after a hug goodbye, she rubbed around my navel (a good 5 inches above where baby was, and in an area where I have a good 2 inches of flubber)...
The only ones besides her have been DH and OB (no problems there)!!
I know several ladies who are just waiting until I'm big enough, but they know me well enough to ask first...I hope. Pretty sure.
My baby sister is having her third in a few weeks, and at Thanksgiving, I asked and got permission to touch - I always ask, and only family and friends!! Never strangers! Seriously!
I am so glad to read people's responses b/c I feel the same way! I have been hating people touching me too... not because it would normally bother me, if I had a nice firm bump, but because I don't want them feeling my squishy fat! haha
