Nosefrida not working, help!

Yea I get some out but she still sounds soo congested and I get the same amount out with the bulb. Im using saline before, im moving the tip around, im doing quick short sucks.. there is still a lot of mucus please give me advice! Shes still sucking it up like its dripping down her nose cant breathe well! Called doctor all weekend and did everything she said like hot shower steam, saline warm apple juice.. im taking her in as soon as they open.

    No suction is going to get everything out.  If she has a cold, there's not much the doctor can do.  Just run a humidifier in her room while she's sleeping, suck out her nose with the bulb or nose frida.  You can try to elevate one end of her crib mattress, that really helps with congestion.  You can also try baby Vicks or a pediatric Vicks plug in, but I didn't find either of those to be as helpful.  The biggest help was the incline on the crib mattress and the humidifier, and just time.

    Why the warm apple juice? I have never heard that before.

    I just don't think you can get it all out. It has to run its course. Sorry! Just keep on doing what you're doing.

    The on-call nurse for my docs office recommended 2 tsp of warm apple juice to help loosen the mucus. My daughter is 4 months old now, if that makes any difference..
