3rd Trimester

What do you have left to do?

I feel like I've got everything done.  And now I'm bored!!  lol  That's what I get for being a planner and having everything completely ready 7 weeks before the baby is suppose to be here.

Maybe I'm forgetting something, so what does everyone have left to do?

Re: What do you have left to do?

  • I still am waiting on the glider to be delivered. I need to attach ribbon to my wood letters and hang them. I will still need to wash the baby clothes and make some frozen meals when it gets closer. I can't organize the dresser/closet anymore than I have until after my baby shower in Jan.

  • I need DH to put together the swing, we need to get our carseats installed/inspected, I need to organize our kitchen cabinets to get ready for bottles/formula/etc., I have to clean some toys that friends gave us, and I need to buy some things for the hospital still (nursing pads, nightgown, something to suck on like lollipops).

  • My short list right now (I'm sure I'll come up with more things...)
-Pack more of the hospital bag
-Put together a list of who we plan to send announcements to
-Enter addresses of said people into Shutterfly so that all we have to do after the baby is born is click & ship
-Get some "ambient music" on my iPod for relaxation techniques at the hospital
-Get the hand-me-downs from my SIL so that I can organize & wash them

  • My husband just set up the crib, so now I can start in the baby's room. I have to put on the skirt, bumper, sheets, window treatments, etc. I have to wash all clothes, blankets, towels, sheets, etc. I want to hang a shelf & my letters. Oh, and organize the closet. We also need to put the bases in our cars. And I need to pack my hospital bag, get some mags & slippers. And we still need to figure out some names!! All that and my doctor said he wouldn't be surprised if I delivered around 37 weeks. Better get to work this weekend!
  • A ton - and I'm a planner too so it's killing me that I haven't had the time to get everything ready (and yes, I only have 3 weeks to go!).

We've got to put the flooring in the nursery and then move everything in.  The dresser has to be stained.  And I've got to wash everything (bedding, clothes, cloth diapers, blankets).  We have purchased most of the things we need - still need some little things like baby toileteries and towels and washcloths - a big BRU run is in the near furture (just waiting on the coupon).

  • Oh, also have to get the car seat installed and inspected - that's an important one!

I have no hospital bag packed either but I think I'll just throw that together when I have signs of early labor.

  • I think I'm pretty ready. ?The only things on my mind are cleaning my house, grocery shopping, laundry....nothing I want to do at this stage!

Thank you!  Got it from Target in the non-maternity section.  I've been lucky that it's stretched this far with me.  I'm hoping it will last another 7 weeks!  lol

  • Clean the rest of house, organize shower gifts better, write out last of the thank you cards- so I can have the sent out by Monday, wash the baby clothes- plan on doing it during Winter Break, install car seat, put bassinet together, put crib bedding together, put up valance, do remainder of border (we were 1.5 feet short- had to order another one- backordered until 12/12).

Agree on little guy's middle name.

    That's all I can think of...know I'm forgetting stuff...

  • I have to wash the baby's clothes/sheets, get going with my Bradley exercises!, and pack my hospital bag.  Oh, and I want to freeze a bunch of meals.  I'm done with work three weeks before the baby comes, so I figure I'll have plenty of time to do all of that then.  Smile
  • Oh, I forgot about getting the carseat installed and inspected and finding a pediatrician.  I guess I have quite a bit to do!  Surprise
  • get carseat inspected (tomorrow)

    pack hospital bag

    get nursing bra

    make CD for labor

    clean house
