constant feeding ?

LO has been reading for the past 3 hours! Granted he's falling asleep a lot and we had to pause for a diaper change but never the less, he's been attached to my boob since ten pm it's one now, here. I don't understand what's going on? How is he still hungry? Why does he scream bloody murder when he's not nursing? How can I get some sleep? ! ?

    It sounds to me like he's comfort nursing.  He's only a week old, and hasn't figured things out yet.  I'd try to find a comfortable position to nurse in, so you can doze off.

    LO is cluster feeding. It's normal [and exhausting]. But it won't last forever, hang in there. LO is helping to establish your supply.
