Sudden supply drop...I think

My LO went to my MILs yesterday and had about 8 oz of milk over the course of 6 hours.  I nursed her without a problem when I picked her up and when we returned home.  Today, when I attempted to nurse LO seems to get very frustrated after 5 minutes of nursing.  She flails her arms, cries stiffens her body.  I'm wondering if she liked the faster flow of the bottle a little to much yesterday and doesn't want to wait for a second letdown from me, or is my supply tanking?

I have been taking more milk plus pills per my LCs suggestion for the last two weeks and have had ok results. I'm kind of worried because I return to work on Thursday and will need to pump at least 15-18 oz for her daily.  AF also started today ( a week earlier than expected).  Any suggestions are much appreciated.

  • AF is infamous for causing sudden supply drop, and it will come back.  Just keep hydrated, and keep taking what you are taking, and nurse as often as LO wants.

  • I took 1 calcium/ magnesium pill everyday and it helped regulate supply with AF.
