What is left on your to-do list now that December is here?
I still need to finish and present my end of term Masters project (next weekend!)
Baby related? I need to freshen up the onesies and baby jammies, pick up some NB dipes, and pack my hospital bag. Hoping to get all that done in the next three days while my kids are still in childcare.
Re: What's left on your to-do list?
Writing 6 chapters of a book (yeah, in 3 days.... thankfully outlines are in place!)
Structuring the framework for a company's website (for a product I've never seen.... this'll be fun. That's also due by Wednesday.)
Baby stuff: unpacking and organizing everything that's jammed in the baby's room, buying the last essentials needed, like diapers, wipes, all kinds of little things. Cleaning the house thoroughly for baby's homecoming and so the health department doesn't evict us.... Paying bills, getting my desk unearthed from 6 months worth of STUFF put on it. Too much to do. :-S
I really wish I weren't having an induction this week.... I was counting on those extra 2 weeks to get ready!
We're waiting on a couple more things to arrive in the mail, and I need to install the car seat base. And pack the hospital bag.
-Finish my few art projects. I have the fronts of his box organizers to decorate, finish a few more receiving blankets, and paint his letters.
-Finish washing and putting things away.
-Pack bags.
If I have time I want to reorganize the kitchen, hallway closet, and laundry room. Mostly I just have to get off my butt and take care of business!
Labor Buddy to Blowfish11
I tried cutting in with paint in DD's room the other day, and couldn't really do the baseboards... and what I did do needs a 2nd coat. I'm giving up on helping with the painting after I re-do the tight angles for DH.
We need to move the crib to DS's room, and set up DD's hand-made kitchen in its place...
DH has to finish DD's built-in bookshelf, assemble a toy box where the current bookcase is, and move the glider to DS's room.
Those are the big things... the little stuff, I'm just writing down. I've got my mom coming to town next weekend, so I've actually been saving a bunch of gentle tasks for her to help me with that I could do myself. She wants to be helpful, and if she doesn't have something to do with herself, she and I start having confrontations. DH came up with this idea, and I'm really hoping it helps.
This. I'm ready.
The nursery...I've been putting that off for um...months!
Clean the house
Decide on a diaper bag I like and finally buy one
Install the car seat
Move the co-sleeper into our room
Take pictures of the belly
Have a final just you and me date day with DH
Somehow wrap my mind around the fact that I will have my very own little human in two weeks!!
same - i feel like i've prepped all that i can at this point. now i'm just ready to pop!
Make a pregnancy ticker
Take finals next week-due by the 13th
Have car detailed (won gift cert!) and install car seat
Pack my hospital bag
One big grocery shopping trip
Finish packing hospital bag
Finish nursery. - the dresser needs to air out a little more since we refinished it- put all of the clean clothes that have been sitting on the floor into said dresser. - DH and our friend are painting a Cherry Blossom tree that needs finished. - Art needs put up - Mobile needs put up - I need to find a rocking chair...-
Shop for freezer meals and make them. Mom is coming over to help me out.
Install car seat.
Bathrooms need cleaned - DH is going to do this for me.
Huh...it's not as bad as I was thinking!

Baby's room still needs an area rug. Not essential, but it's been bugging me for weeks.
finish packing my hospital bag
cook and freeze a bunch of food
finish the paper work for our wil
ask my sister and bil if they will be baby's guardians if both DH and I die (morbid, but it feels important)
Buy, install and fill new closet organizer we're getting from ikea so we can get rid of the gross furniture that's currently clogging our bedroom
get rid of the couch and easy chair in our living room that are making our home look like a college dorm
clean the bathroom
not a lot of baby related stuff, but a lot of unfinished business. I feel like I won't be ready for baby to come until we get everything done. Especially the closet stuff.
Wash rock n play and bouncer covers and Ergo.
Install car seat.
Wash the bedding in guest room to get ready for IL's.
Wrap Christmas presents.

I've been off work since Oct 26th, and while I've been working away in the house, it feels like I've accomplished very little. I still have to:
Go to my baby shower this week (and buy a humidifier if I don't get one)
Install car seat base
Pack hospital bag
Make up spare room for my Mom
Make birth plan (currently have a note with bullet points in our iPhones)
Thats all for baby, but I'm really behind for Christmas. I've got 4 cloth books, 5 ornaments, 6 pot holders and a lap quilt that need to be made or finished and mailed this week. Only a couple people left to shop for, DH is done except his stocking. Then I have to make my diaper bag and make up cookie dough for the holidays. Ugh, I really hope I don't go too early!
Me, too! We thought I may have to be induced last week due to low AFI (went from 7 to 6 in 2 days and the doctor told us if it went to 5 I would be induced) so we got our butts in gear and got everything finished.
I suppose I could clean the house again...

Jan 15 NOV siggy challenge:
Install the carseat base. Get the shelves and little shadow boxes my grandfather gave me up and off the floor of the babies room (that was supposed to happen this weekend, but DH worked instead). And Christmas shop!! I am usually really good and getting everything done really early, but this year I've dropped the ball...so, I'll be finishing that this week, hopefully.
pull out and clean off the dust from: PNP, playmat, newborn toys
pull out and clean/prepare the breast pump and make sure I have all necessary pieces/parts, order more if necessary
put up the name plaque I painted for her room
wrap Christmas presents
try to fit in maternity/family photos if DH's cousin is available any time soon
try to find time to do at least a few freezer meals or at least make a meal plan of some kind
pack hospital bag and diaper bag
install carseat
Hoping to do all of the quick and easy stuff tomorrow, because I am off and DS goes to daycare. Wish DH was off, too because I have a few honey-do things on his list as well, but oh well maybe I can get him to do those this weekend.
