I had an aversion to raw meat. I couldn't think about it, look at it, be in the same room as it... So I pretty much avoided cooking. The last few weeks I have been feeling great and I figured I was over it.
There's a potluck at my church today. I planned to make some meatballs among other things. So this morning when Little Miss Sunshine woke me up at 5am, I threw back some coffee and got a-cookin'. I was okay with looking at the ground beef; go me! I mixed the meatball mixture with a spoon instead of my hands, but when it got time to roll it into balls I couldn't do it. So at 6am I had to wake up DH (not a morning person), tears in my eyes, and ask him to handle some meat for me.
I'm not over it apparently.
Re: So I'm an awesome wife...
Good to know I'm not alone!
DH was a really good sport about it though. And the potluck was delish.
Yep, had a meat aversion here too. At 22 weeks I was finally able to eat something other than bacon, ham and small amounts of pork.
Still the meat has to be almost over-cooked for me to be able to eat it.
