We have a lot of Ikea furniture in our house. It is all great. Sure, there are some cheap lines at the store, but that is the beauty of being able to see everything in person.

As for nursery furniture, DS1 and DD both used the Ikea Gulliver crib. No complaints. It is simple, well made, sturdy, and modern. The only difference is that it is shorter / lower to the ground. DH and I are both over 5'7" (DH is over 6') and have no problems. DS2 started with the Gulliver, but we moved that to Grandmas (she watches him) and we got the black brown Sundvick for his room. Love it.

We own five Hemnes dressers. White and black brown. They are very sturdy, solid wood, and have held up perfectly through years of use and multiple long distance moves with no scatches.

You really can't go wrong for the prices.

ETA: We also use the Ikea Antilop high chair and Expedit bookcases.

Awesome. We are definitely thinking that when the time comes that we're going with ikea furniture for the nursery. Our kitchen and living room are mostly ikea and we havent had any problems, I would much rather spend the money on things we really need than some super fancy crib. :)

Ditto this.  DDs are almost 4 and still in the Gulliver as toddler beds.  They are in great shape and I'll use one of them for this LO too.  The Hemnes dresser is great too.  We're had to do some fixes to the bottom drawers because we've put too much stuff in them, but definitely not a huge issue considering the initial cost.  We've just added some drawer supports to the bottom.   They may be in the parts section of the Ikea stores (near customer service).  If you decide to go with an Ikea dresser, you may want to ask about them and install them just because when you initally put it together.

We also have an Expedit bookcase in DDs' room and 3 of them in what will be this LO's room.  I'm actually going to make a dresser out of one of them.
