FFW(eekend)C

As I was getting ready for bed just now, I was thinking of how ridiculous I am. I am superstitious in my routine for getting in to bed. I always change into pajamas, take off my watch, take out my hair tie and put it on my left wrist (not right!), then take off my glasses and set them on my nightstand. It all has to be in that specific order. If I don't do it that way,I am convinced DD will wake up in the middle of the night.

Anyone have any weird (or even not so weird) confessions this weekend?

Betcha all thought you didn't have such a crazy lady on your BMB! Haha :-)

  • Gotta stick with what works, graceful!

Mine's not weird but--I'm relieved that some of my family didn't show up to DS's party yesterday. Less drama & less stress for me, plus DS is too young to know if someone was here or not.

  • Graceful:  We should make a separate post for weirdness.  We all have some crazy sh!t we do, count, think of, whatefver.  It'd be hilarious.  Or, if everyone chimes in and devulges their crazy along with a confession on this thread.  :)

Good confession by the way. That is too funny.  Ps.  I was thinking about you guys last night and wondering if your DD ever wakes up in the night.  If she does, how often, what does she do and what do you do about it?  If you remember, your experience was good leverage for me and gave me confidence in sleep training DD, so I kinda look up to your success :)

So my confession - I have this thing where I line things up.  Anything.  If I am sitting at the table, I will line the top of another chair up to the bottom of the window with my sight.  Not, like physically move the chair.  Or, I'll line the top of the car windshield against something else that is horizontally straight.  It tended to be a problem when I would spot something and instantly jerk my head, tilt it slightly and start squinting.  Safe to say the fam thought I was crazy til I let the cat out of the bag.

DH's is complete rain-man crazy.  He can talk in letter-groups of 4 without missing a beat.  And if the sentence isn't going to end in an even completion of groups of 4, he can quickly add any word that he needs to make it work.

Your hubs and I are equally weird about word stuff. I used to always count how many letters are in a word. There was a time a couple of years ago that I thought about and did it all the time just because. Wtf is wrong with me?! I had to force myself to stop. I haven't done that for a while. I swear I'm not a freak. Lol.

As far as Ellie waking up, she doesn't do it often. There were a couple of nights last week that she was getting up like every two hours, or sometimes even every hour. I kept thinking maybe she was cold because the nights had started to get really cold and we have a drafty house, so I bundled her up in layers and she just wanted to be held when I went in there. It only lasted two nights and a couple of days later she cut another tooth, so there's that. If she does wake up, I just go in and start her FP seahorse, sway with her, shush her, hum sometimes, and leave her. I am in there for only a minute or two. She whine-cries when I leave every time, but goes back to sleep after a minute or two.

  • Mine is kind of both something weird and a confession. Missed pictures drive me insane. For years. We forgot to get a picture at our wedding of just DH, myself and his 2 kids. We forgot to get a picture of the three of us when LO was born. And at her birthday party. It makes me crazy and I never forget it.
