Still feeling the kicks/punches really low?

21 weeks tomorrow, and I'm still feeling baby girl really low. Like near my pelvic bone. Once in a GREAT while I'll feel something higher closer to my belly button. For some reason I thought I felt DS higher up. Anyone else??

Edited to add: been feeling kicks since almost 18 weeks.

  • I'm a FTM, and I've only been feeling baby often for the last maybe week and a half, but all her movement is pretty low, everything below my belly button. I just love when she kicks my cervix, HAHA.

  • I was kept up from 4am to 6am this morning getting kicked/punched in the cervix. I also feel them up higher, but last night was a party down low apparently.

  • I'm 21 weeks today, same situation.  FTM and started feeling around 18 weeks.  When I went for my a/s I found out I have an anterior placenta, so my belly button is a bit covered.  I think the kid is just hanging out on the lower side of my placenta, so when he moves around, I feel it lower.  He sure does love to kick me in the bladder and cervix.

Yeah I had 2 u/s last week (reg OB and high risk OB), one she was head down the other she was curled up in the lower corner lol.

  • I'm a FTM 21 weeks tomorrow too, first felt movement around 18 weeks. All of his kicks/punchies have been low between my hip bones. This boy loves stomping my bladder out.

  • It's pretty normal to still feel kicks really low.  At this point our kiddos are still flipping around quite a bit since they still have the room to do it, and I've noticed with all of my pregnancies that the babies seem to prefer being head-up for a while.  I still feel most of baby boy's kicks really low, but every once in a while he'll jab me in what feels like my side, and sometimes up in my belly button area.

  • your lo is probably still head up and kicks are closer to your bladder. I am feeling all kicks down low too. But once DS flips then kicks will be up higher like last time

  • as I type out this comment, my DD uses my bladder like a punching bag. She's sitting lower than DS did, so I assume this may be the reason I am not getting a good night's sleep. Stick out tongue I've been told that it's easier to feel them kicking when they're sitting lower and closer to your hips... hopefully this also means a quick delivery *fingers crossed* Wink

  • I have felt my LO once at my belly button.. I have been sick so haven't really felt her to much the past couple of days.. it kinda worries me sometimes.. but she loves to kick my bladder!

  • baby is probably head up/feet down, leading to you feeling kicks down low.

i guess i am lucky my baby is laying horizontal. i feel kicks and punches more on the sides. no cervix kicks for me yet! ::knocks on wood::

  • I still MOSTLY feel my DS really low, but occasionally he's higher. I guess he just likes hanging out down low, but I have noticed higher kicks and thumps more frequently lately.

  • Baby has been kicking lower for me today - it really depends! Sometimes the kicks/punches are really low and sometimes they are up by my belly button.

It's awesome to feel baby moving :)

  • STM and I don't remember too much as far as kicks wise at this stage, but I do only feel the kicks really low. All below the navel.

  • I could still be imagining what I think is movement, but especially today I have felt her in a couple different spots, from down low to up by my belly button. I haven't any significant kicks yet though either, just the light taps and flutters still.
  • I'm a FTM and started feeling kicks at 18 weeks. I have only been feeling kicks down low too.  I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the fact that I have an anterior placenta or not but I've never felt LO much higher than my hip bones.

  • I'm so glad you asked this.  I was wondering the same thing myself. DD is moving really low.....it's good to know others are experiencing the same thing:)

  • I havent been feeling anything close to my belly button at all. Everything for me is still low too. Speak of the angel she just kicked me now =]

  • Yep! I had my a/s and she couldn't get a good shot of his head at first because he was low under my pubic bone. The dr. said I also had a low lying placenta, so maybe the baby will forever be low unless it moves up, beats me.

  • Up until recently I really mostly felt only low as well.  I have only in the past week or so started feeling some near my belly button area as well.

  • I have only been feeling it low (like around my bladder) and when I first started feeling the "fluttering" at 20 weeks (I will be 22 weeks Wed.) I was like you and thought wow, that's a lot lower than I expected!  What an awesome feeling, though :)
