Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Funny Dad

My LO and I were meeting up with a friend to see Santa today. I had to run to lowes and asked my husband to give him a bath so I could get ready too. I asked him to put a couple drops of olive oil on his head to help with his dry scalp and wash it out. So I am ready and put baby in the car. He has his cute monster hat on. Perfect, good job Daddy! He looks so cute. We go to meet Santa and I take his hat off and his hair is completely matted and oily and greasy! I was so embarassed. Haha, it wasn't a huge deal, but I guess I should have checked before we went. And he had no flakes in his hair.... So anyway by the time we got to grandmas I needed to wash his head because the first thing she said was, "ummmm what is going on with his hair?"

  • Hey, they try!  At least your DH will do the bath for you!  My hubby is still unsure at bathtime and won't do it by himself.  It's kind of sweet to me for Mr. Confident to be so unsure though :)

  • Oh that's hilarious!!

This'll make you feel better: we cloth diapered (until it was clear that our baby was the peeing champion of the world and no cloth diaper combo would hold all the pee), and one day I asked DH to change him just before a nap.

When LO woke up from his nap and I got him up, I was pleasantly surprised that he hadn't leaked for once. But then when I changed him, I found that DH had put a diaper on him that's supposed to be stuffed with an inner liner... WITHOUT a liner, but another diaper was on underneath... and over the whole shebang was a diaper cover that DH had put on BACKWARDS. I had to laugh, but hey, he didn't leak!!
