To those who said they use formula for BM's..?

I have Read on here a couple of you posted about using one formula bottle a day to Get LO To poop regularly.... Did you find this to be a good way of adding it to their diet And regulating their systems? I had to cave Yesterday and give a bottle of formula because I didn't pump enough and sure enough he pooped right on cue...we are never that lucky with just nursing. Made me wonder....

Formula seemed to stop my nieces and nephews from pooping. Breastmilk is naturally more laxative but it produces less waste so maybe that's why there is less waste coming out.

EDIT A baby will use up most of what's in breastmilk and so produces less waste is what I was trying to say.

I have never heard of such a thing! One - formula typically causes more digestive issues including constipation (lots of iron!) and two - totally normal for a BFed baby to go days without pooping.
