another silly spotting question.
Although spotting is super rare for me, I know the body can be unpredictable. I have been spotting for almost a week now, and I assume it is leading up to AF.
My question is, for those of you who may spot before AF, how long does it usually last? I'm not used to this, so I just wanted to see what the "norm" for some of you may be. TIA

I usually spot for 3-4 days before full on AF
I normally have 3-5 days of spotting before AF. Although I have brown spotting which leads to full red spotting.

This and I am sick to death of it! Plus I spot several days after.
Since going off BCP in July, I've spotted before and after my period every cycle.
Before AF, I spot anywhere from 2 to 6 days. After AF, I spot 2-3 days. Most of my spotting is brown.

Reading this thread makes me realize why my period is so long. I consider all of my post-red bleeding to be AF still but I guess because it's brown and a light flow maybe it's spotting. My period is 7-8 days but I guess 4 or so days are maybe just "spotting."
Anyway, I typically only spot for a few hours before AF comes in ernest. Usually the spotting is coincident with cramps (or the cramps come first) so I almost never mistake pre-AF spotting for anything other than AF's arrival (though on the CD 1 vs CD 2 post I related a story in which I did do that...).
When I got implantation bleeding, it was just a tiny spot of pink blood present when I went to the bathroom two times. If I hadn't been TTC and hadn't heard of implantation bleeding I probably wouldn't have noticed it at all.
