I just got confirmation that DH will be coming home from deployment next week-woo hoo!!! I need: an outfit for his homecoming (preferably something casual but cute-he likes me in pink, but I hardly wear it-and comfy enough to still handle Ronin and an outfit for a cocktail party a couple days later that one of his friends is throwing.
I am average height (5'5) and weight (size 8) and have foot issues, so I can't really wear heals for long periods of time. I have one week to get this together....GO!

OCT 2011 Moms BlogI was SO hoping you'd weigh in here, Liz! For the budget, I'd like to stay under $200-300 total. I checked out the dresses in my closet to see if any of them were usable for the cocktail party, but my body just doesn't fit into them the way it used to. So, a new dress is the priority. If I'm able to also manage something new for Homecoming, though, it would be a bonus!
He's definitely a boob man, and I've got the goods to satisfy in that area. Because of this, I need an outfit that allows me to wear a bra. My C-section did a number on my abs, and I have a pooch that just will not go away, so I'd like something that could hide that. DH is odd in that he likes me in long dresses, but I'm afraid a long dress would be too formal for a cocktail party. The homecoming is fairly casual. He likes me in skinny jeans and boots, so I was thinking of wearing that with a cute top.

That is seriously my favorite store! I'm going there tomorrow to check it out. It's all a moot point now, though, because my ILs are no longer going to the homecoming, I don't have a sitter for Saturday night when the cocktail party is. So, I guess I'll be hanging out in the hotel room with R for the night. I could still get dressed up for that, though....
