Party reminder: yay or nay?

This is my first party for the LO so I don't know the etiquettes.
I had two 1st birthday parties from friends and one did it and the other didn't.

So if the party is on Sunday, do I send out a party reminder? It feels weird to do it.

    I just let family know by phone. I'm not doing anything big. But yes I will remind my brothers

    We're not doing a reminder but I don't think it would bother me if someone did. Honestly, though I have neer received a party reminder for anything, ever.

    Did you ask people to RSVP? I don't think it hurts to send a simple reminder. Or if they are close friends maybe just text and ask if you'll be seeing them there?
