In front/with the kids. Or not?
I had a target date all by myself and I picked up Santa pjs and stocking stuffers for H ... Well when I got home she got into the bag and insisted she wear this new button "shirt" ..which was her new pjs top. It was impossible to take it away and she wore them for 5 min, and she was miserable when I took them away. But looked so cute enjoying her new outfit : I'm worried how shopping for new toys will be like if she's with us and I don't get to hide them!!
Anyone have a smart and quick little cookie that gets into everything a little too fast?!
Re: Shopping for Christmas gifts...
I work at Target and people there shop with their kids all the time. They hide the presents under other things they're buying (if they're small) and distract them while they hand it to me to bag it.
Anyways, I got most of my deals online this year so I don't have this problem this year.
I shop with her but next year I'll probably shop on my lunch break without her. She getting way too observant. I have them bagged separately and I take the directly out to the shed where we store all the Christmas gifts. So, she barely sees them after the store.
I seem to see a trend happening with you giving H her presents early. You are not very good at waiting to give gifts, are you? And now you are blaming a sweet, innocent baby. LOL
I ordered a few things online (like Little People farm and zoo). He has tried to get into the boxes, and I will not let him because he will obsess about them if he sees what is inside. We have a huge tub of hand-me-down toy cars, animals, etc that I don't want to pull out (because he has so many already), and he obsesses about this tub because he once saw what was inside. I will shop with him, but I already have to be sneaky about putting things in the cart. He doesn't forget easily.
