    VOTE on my Name List
  • Are you drinking lots of water? getting lots of exercise? High fiber foods?
  • I think metamucil was mentioned recently on 1st tri. I don't drink coffee often. With DD I used to drink a cup of decaf and that would help.

My OB has me on vitamin D3 this pregnancy and ever since taking it I have been more than regular.

  • Colace (docusate sodium is the generic) --always check with your OB first.  Drink TONS of water, I swear, between this and walking/exercising it will help.

Eat pears/pear juice or prunes/prune juice.  It also works.  Prune juice may work a little faster if you put it in the microwave for about 5-10 sec, to make luke warm.  Yuck- but also works.  Its how we got the elderly to poop in the nursing home.  Its drug-free and gentle!

Ditto to this - I'd try natural remedies first before considering medication.

  • I had Miralax throughout my pregnancy with J, and my doc was ok with it... It's not absorbed in any way, from what I understand, so it doesn't affect the baby.
