FF: maximun ounces per day?

I have seen it mentioned here and elsewhere that the maximum number of ounces an lo should drink per day is 32. What is the reasoning for this? No one ever worries that BFed babies eat too much.

My lo likes to eat a minimum of 32 ounces a day. He seems to have stabilized the amount, but I don't want to feel pressure to start him on solids till he's good and ready.

IVF #1 ET 1 d3 embryo 10/30/11 BFP
3 Embryos frozen (1 d5, 2 d6)

DS born 07/29/12

FET #1 ET 1 d5 embryo 02/10/15 BFN

FET #2 1 d6 embryo didn't survive thaw, transferred last d6. CP :(

    reasoning may be b/c their stomachs can only hold that much?

    does your lo spit up much?

    I had a chart that was attached to a Similac mailer on formula that said an average but it seems like there is a formula that bases it on their weight. You might can google it. My LO eats about 30 oz so she's not far off.


    I think if I went off of the weight guidelines, he should be eating around 40 ounces a day at 2.5 ounces per pound. He doesn't really ever eat that much. The max he eats is around 38.
