September 2012 Moms

**kristyandruss**

I was just reading your blog and saw that you lived in New Haven, CT. I was born and raised in Hamden and then East Haven, CT and then moved to California (San Diego) 9 years ago. Small world!!!

Married to my best friend and mom to Calvin, 18 months old. We are so excited to being having Baby #2 (due on our 4 year anniversary)

  • I recently moved from there to Princeton, NJ. We really loved New Haven though. I miss it. I especially miss the pizza.

  • I miss Pepe's and Modern Pizza. My husband goes to Westminster Seminary and he might church plant in New Haven so we might move back in the next two years. NJ is nice, much colder than San Diego ;)

  • I have been to New Haven many times. I used to live in CT and now live in OR. :) I miss the east coast weather. I dislike the Oregon rain.

  • Wow, both of y'all moved west. Well I've always been on the east coast somewhere. I don't think I could take the constant rain. I've visited Ojai in CA though and totally think I could be happy there.

  • I moved out here because my family came here first. I knew that there was really nothing for us in CT, too. My husband worked at walmart and I at Kindercare. We came to Oregon and my husband got a job at Yahoo! and I transferred centers. The first year was great with the sun all summer long. Since then, I got seasonal affective disorder and hate the rain...which is like half the year. Its dark, dreary, and depressing. I would LOVE to move to Cali, but its too pricy for us, plus we have only owned the  house for 3 years now.

  • I miss the east coast but nothing beats san diego weather. I will say though that the east coast has the most friendly people, out here in san diego no one is really family-oriented which is something I am not used to. My family moved our here as well otherwise we would still be back in Connecticut.
