Rocking Horse, anyone have it?

DH wants to get a rocking horse for DD and I am looking seriously at this one. It is on sale and looks very cute and comfy. But I'd like to hear from other moms first - is it good? We know it might be a little early but we want toys that will come in handy during the next year.

Re: Rocking Horse, anyone have it?

  • Hah, yes, we just got one of these for DS's 1st birthday. I thought it looked super cute online, too. And it mostly is, but it also has that wide-eyed creepy look in person. The song it sings is also really annoying. DS has no interest in it right now, but I'm hoping it will grow on him as he gets older. Overall, I'd say it looks really well-made in person, and if DS enjoys it, I'll deal with the annoying song :)

  • My little guy has a rocking giraffe and he loves it!! He can rock it by himself, and gets on and off himself too. It does have a seat with a back and he can sit in it pretty far.

  • We had that one and the sound broke....otherwise worked fine. When they outgrew it I donated it.

We got the larger spring horse for dd birthday (same company) and 3 days into it the sound broke! Amazon replaced it right away and the new one broke less than a week into it. Not sure if I keep getting lemons or its the company but all my kids did was ride on it and press his ear for music. Just thought I would inform you....
