Trouble getting little man to eat

Is it normal for almost 3 year old to not eat barely at all for a week and then still barely be willing to eat. I have tried bribing him with getting candy for eating his meal and he is still barely eating anything, I called his GI they are going to see him December 10th. I am just wondering if that is to long to wait. What are your thoughts?

  • Normally I would say that kids go through stages and not to worry. However since you are calling "his GI" I am assuming he has had some issues in the past. My advice would be to call and ask to talk to the GI's nurse. Explain the situation and then they can move up your appt if they think it is necessary.

  • Yes he was losing weight and they did biopsy at the time of his throat and upper GI. They started him on reflux medicine and it has done the trick.  Until now.He seems to be doing the same thing again. :(

  • I don't know your ds at all but, mine doesn't eat. I can't explain why. He eats 3 different foods and that's it. He's fine and he's always been like that. I feed him carnation instant breakfast because he won't eat ANYTHING no matter what I do. My philosophy is he'll eat when he's hungry and he does. Not much, but he does.
