So excited!!!

So today I successfully pumped and fed DS at the same time and in doing this I got double what I normally get.  Still working on getting a decent stash from pumping, I do not get much when I pump, but I know baby gets enough since he has gained about 5lbs since birth and is working on a very nice third chin. :)  

Also have any of you drank the Mother's Milk Tea?  Does it seem to help?  Does it taste ok?

    Woo hoo!  Nice job.

    I drink the mother's milk tea, and I think it works.  It tastes like black licorice so it's kinda gross, but it has grown on me over time.  However, I would caution you about using it.  If your LO has gained 5 lbs in a month, you are definitely making plenty of milk.  You do not want to deal with oversupply.  It can be painful, as well as cause hindmilk/foremilk imbalance and other issues.  Instead, try looking at pics and videos of LO while pumping, or pump while feeding him, or do breast compressions/massage to help increase your pump response.

    Nice! Good for you Mama!

     

    I personally couldn't stand Mother's Milk Tea. The black licorice taste was too overwhelming for me and unfortunately, I couldn't choke it down (but oh how I tried, multiple times). But I also think that black licorice is possibly the foulest tasting item on the face of the planet, so I wouldn't be a good person to talk to.
