So I've been really meaning to check out this board. DD was supposed to be due July 24th. But came 2 weeks late on August 6th. I've been mainly hanging on the breastfeeding board and recently the working mom's board. But I think this board is probably going to be the place for me to chat with other mom's with babies the same age.
So, here's my first real post on this board . . . I also posted it on the Baby Gear Board.

UG! I am soooo not ready for Christmas! Don't get me wrong I am finally thrilled to be playing Santa! But it feels like she just popped out and it seems too soon for Christmas already! I guess I'd feel differant if she was born earlier in the year. Then I would of had all year to think about Christmas ... but I've spent all year being pregnant and popping out a baby.
She'll be almost 5 months at Christmas time.
I'm thinking about getting some toys that she can grow into. However I am such a bargin shopper and the thought about finding bargains on several $10-$20 toys makes me even more tired than I already am! Then the tought of just hitting up the FisherPrice display in Walmart seems like I'm cheating myslef out of good deals! LOL!
Share your Christmas lists ideas for your young babies! When I was pregant I stalked friends old registries to see what they registered for. Wish I could do the same for christmas ideas!
Here's my list do far . ..
"Big Stuff"
"Small Stuff" - Classic Toys like:
Also, anyone find any great upcoming deals on baby toys??? I might go to a consignment shop this weekend to see what they have!
TIA

At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid. Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth. If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP. My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!
Re: Intro & Christmas Gift Ideas
I'm usually fanatical about Christmas, but this year I'm worse. Even though he's only going go to be about 4mo old, I'm super excited.
I got a high chair, and exersaucer for 15 percent off plus free shipping. Went to Marshall's for books, and teething toys. I got a few things from Disney World, but I get a 40 percent discount so it was pretty cheap.
DH and I just talked about this and I honestly just don't think she needs anything. we were so fortunately to get SO MUCH stuff at three different showers that we really don't need anything else. i figure grandparents will get her enough stuff.
we'll probaby just get a small item and then see what she becomes interested in as she gets a little older.
oh, and as an aside: i am always so amazed that women who are moms still say their babies "popped out". it's funny, i used that phrase before i had her. after delivering her, never again would i say it. i wish she had popped out.
...and also, welcome and congrats.
haha! yeah, I wished she popped out. I guess I still say it becasue its fun to say.
Kind of like the term knocked-up. When I was pregnant I would say I was knocked up, even though I was far from the "traditional" meaning of knocked up. Married for 10 years, fertility treatments, etc.
