Last entire week and half has been awful. LO is up four times every two hours from nine PM until its time to go to work. She's eating more at grandmas and eating more on me. I am just pumping enough so that is still ok. She is also getting just one spoon of solids after her dinner feeding every night. I am not sure what I am doing wrong or if she is going through a spurt but my LO that slept four plus hours. most nights is driving me crazy. Anyone else experience this at five months ? Any advice? My husband tries to put her back to sleep every time but she won't have it. It's go boob or go home for her. I am worried I am starting a bad habit by nursing back to sleep and it's making her take a step backwards in self-soothing
Sorry, it 3:30 and I'm pumping after a long night. Just needed to vent. It's just a phase it's just a phase it's just a phase....
Re: It's like she's a newborn
We ad a period around 4 and half months when she drastically increased the amount she was eating...It coincided with me going back to work and was rough in terms of pumping and trying to keep up. It lasted about a week and a half then she settled down. Luckily, this growth spurt didn't effect her sleep much.
We just got through her 6 month growth spurt and this one se andled differently. Eating the same amount during the day, but waking up once at night around 2-3am wen she had been sleeping through the night since about 3 months. This lasted about 2 weeks and coincided with her getting her first tooth. So at least we got those out of te way at the same time
Hang in there. It is a phase and it will pass.
Normal. Around that time she just just turned on a "feed me" switch. Her reflux got bad in this period too. We had to start thin oatmeal at night not long after just to keep everything down when she went down for the night.
6 month growth spurt is here now and it's the same as before- I'm a free for all buffet. My pumping output at work is nearly half again what it was.
Give it a week or two, it will calm down.
