I am 6 weeks and a day today and I have been experiencing a lot of cramping. This is my third pregnancy I had a miscarriage last yeard around this same time so I'm very paranoid. I called my OB and they said that it is probably just where my uteris is stretching and preparing my body. I pray everyday that all goes well with this pregnancy. The cramps feel like period cramps or if you ever had an ovarian cyst. My first appointment is in a couple of weeks, biting my nails until then....
Oh my goodness I could have written this myself. I too experienced a miscarriage this time last year and I too am having a lot of cramping. I'm also six weeks and paranoid. Feels like I'm going to get my period. Walking seems to help. It's good to feel like I'm not alone. Good luck, I'll be rooting for you.
I experienced cramping a little over a week ago, and was assured but my RE and other ladies on TB that it is just my uterus stretching and preparing for baby. Since then the cramping has gone away and everything so far is fine (knock on wood). So it seems like the mantra is if there is no spotting/bleeding, the cramping is totally normal.
After 1.5 years TTC, IUI #2= BFP 12/2/12

I'm just over five weeks and same thing. Just slight cramping here and there. my friend said her ob told her to drink more water. I tried that today and no cramping.
I'm almost 6 weeks I think....went to the e.r for cramping n spotting n they did an ultrasound n blood wrk thought I was 5 weeks n the ultrasound showed jus the gestational sac so I'm soo worried as like a few others I miscarried around this time 2 yrs ago after haveing my 2nd lil boy so I'm very worried I have another ultrasound the 26th but that's sooo far away not knwing the cramping is still there but no more spotting n my symptoms r very strong soo hopefully everything will b ok for us all
This is my 2nd child and I was thinking the same thing. I remember bleeding a little bit w/ my 1st. The part I don't remember is if I went in at 6 wks or 8 wks to hear the hb. That is whats driving me nuts. I went in this past Thurs for an u/s just to put my mind at ease. The OB saw a gs but didn't see a fetal pole. It's in the uterus where its supposed to be so that was a good sign, but her not seeing anything had me worried. The date I thought could be wrong.. So its either I started last month on the 14th, 15th or 16th. So, when I had the u/s.. maybe it was too early? All I know is I have another u/s coming up next Thurs and I hope and pray she'll see something. From what I've been reading this is normal but my OB said something about it being weird for her not seeing a fetal pole.. so it could either be too early or an early mc. I don't like that word. I'm trying so hard to put my mind off of it, its so hard.
I too am 6 weeks and I felt the same exact thing yesterday evening. I also said it felt like an ovarian cyst. Glad I'm not alone it lasted for about 20 minutes and subsided. I was freaked out because I had a miscarriage on November 11th 2012 and I thought thats what I was experiencing but thank God it wasn't.
Read your post and it sounds like what I'm going through right now. I have cramping and had pink discharge. The nurse is getting back to me. Any encouraging words are welcome! I also an six weeks!
I was experiencing the same thing and my Dr said not to worry unless it is accompanied by bleeding, then call her. It is more of your body getting prepared...oh Joy!..lol
I'm also expecting my 2nd child, my ds is 14 months, and feeling more cramping than last time. I'm guessing it's because we're chasing around a little one! I had a little spotting in the beginning, but my Dr's office said it was normal. Sorry if this too much info, but I've also been super gassy this time, so I think that may have something to do with it! Oh the joys
I'm 6 weeks and 5 days today, I've had cramping since before I even knew I was pregnant and its everyday, I had an internal check because I started bleeding and baby was fine, so I'm sure its nothing to worry about, don't stress and if it gets worse see your doctor with any concerns. best of luck :
I'm 6 weeks today, this is my first pregnancy. And I'm really scared. I have had ovarian cysts and actually lost one of my ovaries. So Im very blessed to have gotten pregnant this easy. I'm cramping pretty bad mostly in the morning and at night. I keep trying to convince myself it's normal... But it doesn't feel right. I have an apt in a couple days. Hopefully it will clear things up for me.
I'm almost 6 weeks I started spotting for two days now, after 7 miscarriages already im scared, my HCG levels was 1416 and the ultrasound showed the gestational sac, i dont want to go through this again. anyone else been through this and came through it and have a healthy baby
I'm about 6 weeks as well and have been cramping for weeks now, and having that feeling like my period is coming any day now. It's not painful but a presence.
I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow and I've had period like cramping at least once a day for about 2 weeks now. It's like a previous responder said not too bad but a presence. I have found that if I drink a lot of water when i experience the cramps they seem to go away. This is my first pregnancy so I'm nervous about every little thing. So happy to read that I'm not alone and this sounds normal!!!
I'm just over five weeks and same thing. Just slight cramping here and there. my friend said her ob told her to drink more water. I tried that today and no cramping.

Okay, the general gist of what other people are saying is that their cramping is mild to moderate. I never get period cramps normally, so maybe I'm just being a baby about this, but my cramping HURTS! I have no spotting, and it only happens a couple of times a day for small periods of time. I'm wondering if I should call the OBGYN? I do have PCOS, so it could be a cyst? Or is it something more serious? The boards aren't that encouraging in that people insist that they have miscarriages pretty close to the week that I am at (6). Scary.
Re: Cramping already....
This is my first time and I've been cramping for a few weeks. I'm about 6 weeks now.
