Cookies!!!!

I make way to many Christmas cookies. I can't pick a favorite, so I make them ALL. Plus, I always pick a new recipe to try. I think I may have a baking problem. Scratch that. I know I have a baking problem. Luckily I know a few people who aren't great bakers and appreciate my homemade cookies.

What's your favorite Christmas cookie?

I'd have to go with six layer cookies, but I think my shortbread might be my new favorite this year. Oh I just can't pick. Stick out tongue

Re: Cookies!!!!

  • I love pb blossoms, sugar cookies are a must, and I make no bakes since they are gluten free. I love making others if I have the time too!

  • previously before having my son I was a Pastry Chef/Cake Decorator so the cookies start at Thanksgiving and dont stop until NY! I bake a new cookie every night then freeze them..when it comes time, I pull them all out and make baskets, boxes, trays etc! Baking never really stops at my house but definitely increases this time of the year...its good for the soul!  Bake on!! :)

  • My go to recipe is shortbread every year. So easy! For the non-bakers, you should try this recipe, its just so easy!

1lb salted butter, 1 cup brown sugar, 3-4 cups flour. That's it!

Just adjust the flour depending on humidity, etc. I generally end up using 3.5 cups plus flour on the table so they don't stick while I am cutting them out.

  • The Italian rainbow cookies. OH MAH GAH. I could eat so many of those. Maybe I will try to make them myself this year.
