Progesterone Testing

Hey ladies,

Quick question because I didn't get a chance to talk to OB yesterday, and I dont want to harass her office, but how long does it usually take to get results from a progesterone test?

Me - 27, DH - 32

EDD #1 3/30/13 - MC 8/24/12
EDD #2 12/28/2013 - MC 05/01/2013

    I went to see my normal doc yesterday because I sprained my ankle.  They wanted to do x-ray, asked if I could be pregnant.  I told them it was a possibility because I haven't gotten AF yet.  He asked more about it and we were talking, he said he wanted me to go to lab and get a progesterone test.  He told me to call my OB office and let one of her nurses know I was doing it and that'd she would be receiving results.  So, I went in and they took blood around 4:30.  So I'm just waiting now, and wondering if I should call her office and inquire about it?

    My results always came back the next day. If you dont feel like waiting for them to call, just leave a message with the nurse triage, and they should call you to let you know whats going on. GL!

    Yeah - I think it made me even more crazy!  Wasn't planning on doing the test but...we'll see...

    why did they just do progesterone and not HCG to see if you were pregnant? just curious :)

    And to answer your question...my office usually has the results back in a few hours if they order it STAT but at least 24 hours if not STAT. GL!!!!

    Honestly, I don't know.  I've never been a huge fan of my family doctor.  He seems illiterate.  I'll know more tomorrow I hope, they said Monday at the latest.
