I'm thinking about starting a blog. Partly to deal with TTC stress but also because I want to have a better record of my time abroad. I also have a lot of crazy stories from school that I feel like I should write down so I don't forget, haha. But I'm worried that it would be too identifying if I talked about all those things in the same place, since there aren't that many people who fit into all those categories! I don't want, like, my classmates to find out I'm TTC, for example. I also feel like no one would want to read my blog, so maybe I should just write in a diary!
So if you blog, how do you make it harder for people to figure out who you are? Or do you just not care?
Re: Come in if you blog!
I blog, I don't necessarily post my TTC stuff, but that's only because I really don't want to share my CM and how many days we've had sex, I share it with you guys but that's just because we all are in the same place. If and when I get pg, I think I'll start a separate blog and see if I can merge the two once I become public about it.
But I don't post DH's name, I use J...but that's only because I don't think he wants his name out there in blog world, but I do post his picture. Ok, I may not be making sense. But what I'm trying to say is its an individual decision if you want to post everything in one blog, I know some people have a "life" blog and a "TTC" blog.
check out my blog, the link is in my siggy.

PgAL/PAL Welcome
I blog. (Vote me for best blog! Sorry, had to sneak that in there.
)
I started it a couple weeks after my second loss. It started as a place to write down my feelings and thoughts and just get it out. I never used names and tried to be vague about certain situations. While it's never been private, I only gave the address out to certain people. If someone searched hard enough, they would be able to find it but I didn't think anyone would put the energy into it.
Over the last year, it has progressed from a loss blog to a life blog and I am more careful with what I write in there now. It's public and most of my friends and family know about it. So I don't really mention anything TTC related. I find that blogging has been really therapeutic for me and I would recommend it.

I write from time to time. However, I don't care too much to hide who I am. I just started though and I haven't told anyone that I'm doing it.I know the blog site I use has pretty strict privacy policies that I can enforce if I wanted to.
I blog!
I write about everything--TTC, my loss, life in general.
I don't try very hard to keep myself incognito, but I try to use nicknames for everyone, and I don't really advertise that I blog at all. (Although it is in my sig...) I only have a couple of readers I know IRL, the rest of my 'followers' are from here.
I also blog (www.fourthtrimesterblog.com), but I use fake names for me, DH, DS and friends I may mention in the blog. Some people know it is me, some don't. But, I won't be stalked or identity-thieved either.
I also don't post any pics in which you can see me, or DS (or DH) directly either ... since most blog sites don't have password or sign-up protection.
I also stick to post-baby, momma kind of topics. My professional blog (I'm an editor) is strictly industry-based.

This pretty much the link is in my siggy. But really it is mostly because I have no where else to just verbally vomit. On blogger you can have more than one blog, so you would be able to make a school one and a TTC one. I pretty much just throw everything into one on mine ha.
I started blogging when I first moved overseas, but I did not want the general public to be able to find me, so I used a nickname.
On my second overseas assignment, I stopped caring, and so I changed my wordpress nickname and url to my given name.
ETA: I don't write about my personal life (including my loss, TTC, etc) but I do write about our travels, my professional life, and I post pictures from whatever corner of the world I happen to be in.
