My DH is no help. It's for his holiday party Saturday night. His company is a client of mine and he's only been there about 5 months. I'll be there as his wife, of course, but also representing my company in a way (it's going to be weird). We're both in construction, so it won't be a super formal event. I bought 2 dresses and a skirt/blouse combo. The white dress and green dress are the same, but I think the white is out of the running because of my transparent skin. I'm leaning towards the leopard print skirt and blouse with a new pair of patent black pumps, I think. Or nude pumps? If I wear the green one, I have no clue what to wear over it in terms of a cardi/shrug. I hate my arms, so they have to be covered. WDYT? Do I look too old ladyish in the skirt? I need a woman's eye! TIA (Disclaimers: My face is very, very tired. Beware o'eye-bags. Also, our master bedroom is very messy. Andplusalso, I have long legs for my body and it's difficult to find dresses/skirts that don't look super short.)

Re: Help me pick a dress, ladies? (Clicky/PIP+)
I voted for skirt but I also like the green. You just said you weren't sure what you would wear over your arms, even though I think you look great! I wish long and skinny legs were my problem!
BTW, I don't think the skirt is old lady-ish at all.

I agree about the plain black top.
You look great! I like the skirt best. It's feminine and pretty and not too short. The green one isn't bad but I think the white one looks too short. I have super long legs too and run into the same problem. annoying.
Girl, you are beautiful! Isn't it funny what one person despises is what others (me) totally covets? I voted for the skirt because you feel more comfortable in it. If it were me, I'd put a plain black top with 3/4 sleeves. They say to use nude pumps to add length to your leg, but you don't need it, so it's whatever you have that's cute. You don't want to go big with competing accessories or shoes since the skirt already is patterned.
Do you have a Nordstroms by you? The Jr's dept. ususally has cute things for not too much $. Also, they always have a personal shopper to use. I've never used one, but I have friends that do. Also, Smit recently used one and she said that she liked them.
I also agree with the PP about Express. If I had your body, I'd also go to Bebe or that Maxazria store.
Please don't beat yourself up. You are beautiful and your mom and DH are not liars.
