Semi-exciting news:
Today, I was talking to a co-worker and "the badness" happened to come up. (She has known bits of pieces of our drama, because people apparently really like to talk about my ute, but whatever). She told me that she has a friend who delivered her son at 27 weeks (he survived and is a healthy kindergartener now), and then lost twins at 17 and 22 weeks. When she got pregnant again, she began seeing a local maternal/fetal doctor due to her high risk. He fought for her to receive, and to be covered by her insurance for, some sort of immune treatment (I don't know the ins and outs of it - she is looking into it for me). From the story she relayed to me, this guy is willing to do the "experimental" stuff that everybody looks at me like I'm crazy when I ask about.
She is going to get his name and some more information from her friend. I'm hoping this guy might be able to consider helping me, or at least maybe refer me to someone who is as willing to investigate and problem-solve as he seems to be.
So, this isn't super big news, but it was enough to give me a shred of hope today that there might be somebody out there willing to help us. FX I get somewhere with this! Thanks for the crossed appendages y'all!

I've never posted on here (just on the Loss board) but I think I know exactly what you're talking about. It is probably a treatment called IvIg & it is used in women who have had recurrent losses due to an immune issue. I lost my son, Eli, at the end of September & my rheumatologist is researching this treatment for my next pregnancy. Apparently it is extremely expensive but sometimes will be covered by insurance if the patient has had recurrent losses or a neonatal loss & a confirmed autoimmune condition (I have Lupus.)
I have a friend who had multiple early losses & finally did end up doing IvIg treatments & delivered healthy twins. She did say that her insurance did not cover the treatments & it cost over $40,000. I am really praying that our insurance will cover it!
Good luck to you!

I'm not sure if that's what she's having done, but I've been doing a lot of reading on this. At this point, I will try ANYthing. I do have decent insurance, and in regards to infertility and RPL, only ARTs are limited. Everything else should be covered if it's coded appropriately. We'll see!
