Re: ~*~September Sapphire Sweethearts~*~
Updates: Please update us on any testing, dr appts, milestones, etc.
I am heading back to Ottawa tomorrow to meet with the doctor after my testing last month. I'm really really hoping that something will have shown up and he has some advice/solution for me. I'm also hoping that it will be a simple fix, like take more vitamins or something. But we shall see. I'm just hoping for some answers.
I'm also having a bit of a rough week emotionally. I'm taking the birth of my new niece a little harder than I thought and I'm just sad for myself. Sad that I'm still here, not pregnant and with no babies. This is not how I thought my life would be right now when we started this whole process 2+ years ago.
GTKY: What is your favorite Chistmas/Holiday movie of all time?White Christmas. LOVE it and we usually watch it once a year around this time. I just love the singing and dancing and story line. And I have memories of watching it as child.

Just waiting to O or see if I did all ready. We're humping it out, so I'm not too concerned. I feel like this is our last chance though before our one year anniversary of our BFP. This is my next big milestone.
I'm not really in a good place, I'm having a hard time giving support. I've been checking in and lurking a couple times a day, but mostly keeping my distance. I feel like I need to protect myself right now and step back a little and not be so involved in the board.
GTKY: What is your favorite Chistmas/Holiday movie of all time?
Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. I watch it every year, I love it!

As for your rough week, ((huge big squishy hugs)) to you. I went through a very similar situation last year. I have been struggling to get pregnant for over a year, and had recently had a loss, when my sister delivered. I desperately wanted someone to ask we how was holding up. It wasn't until I completely lost it that my mother backed off on me seeing the baby, after calling me self centered. It was an ugly and dark time for me. We all grieve and heal at our own pace, even though we feel like we are holding it together, and situations like these seem to open wounds that were starting to get a little better. Don't force yourself to do anything you are not comfortable with. Take your time. It will get better, but it's not easy. Much love to you!

I'm currently waiting to O. I should be triggering this afternoon. I honestly don't have a lot of hope for the cycle, but like PKaren, this is our last shot before our BFP anniversary.
I've been going through a rough patch too. Thanksgiving left me in tears twice. Just looking at my 8 month old nephew, and listening to family gush over him, reduced me to a blubbering mess before dessert. Then I was blindsided by my SIL's niece who is now pregnant and complaining about morning sickness and cravings. I'm very hurt that my SIL did not think to tell beforehand. She's dealt with a loss and secondary IF, so I thought she would be a little more thoughtful.
Aside from the Thanksgiving mess, the holidays are really getting me down, and this is/was my favorite time of year. I just keep thinking of where we should be, and really depressed at where we are instead. Then top that with another birthday, it's pretty ugly around here.
GTKY: What is your favorite Chistmas/Holiday movie of all time?
Christmas Vacation is probably my all time favorite. It appeals to my 12 year old boy sense of humor. I love Christmas movies in general. I love Miracle on 34th Street, Home Alone, White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life, Christmas Story, Elf..... I think you get the picture. I don't think I've found one I didn't enjoy.

Nothing much to report this week. I'm waiting to O, but haven't seen any sign of EWCM like last cycle (in which I O'd super early for me), but there's plenty of time, since my old, unmedicated 'normal' was around CD20ish.
GTKY: What is your favorite Chistmas/Holiday movie of all time?
Nightmare Before Christmas. I even have the book. Leave it to me to pick the movie that's just as much about Halloween as it is about Christmas.
I also love a couple of the Harry Potter movies just for their Christmas scenes.
Update: I had an appointment with a genetic counselor today. She was a rockstar!!! She spent 10 years working with pregnant women (can't remember what she said her position was there) at a different clinic before getting certified as a genetic counselor. So she spent a lot of time talking to me about fertility, beyond just the genetic aspects, which was cool. It made me feel like she really cared and is on my side. She offered to run some tests (CF screening per my family history, translocation) right off the bat. But I am opting to meet with the 2nd opinion OB first, and see where to go from there. Even though I didn't get any answers, it feels really good to be proactive and to have a better idea of what my next steps might be.
GTKY: I can't pick just one favorite holiday movie. When I was a kid, I used to watch the cartoon version of the Grinch year round, and it's still one of my favorites. I can't go a holiday season without watching A Christmas Story. And I also love The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. I admit, I also get sucked into the Hallmark Channel & Lifetime during the holidays, watching all those crappy, made-for-TV movies. They're like crack.
Hopefully your O shows up soon. I know medicated vs. non-medicated can be a little crazy.
I had never watched Nightmare Before Christmas until this past weekend. I got sucked in and really enjoyed it!

Yay! I am so glad you had an awesome appointment. It seems like things are going in the right direction. Now, if we could only get your second opinion appointment to get here a little faster.....
You sound like me, when it comes to holiday movies! I absolutely love The Best Christmas Pageant Ever! I had to read the book in 5th grade. It is such a cute story. I tracked down a copy last year to give to my SIL for Christmas, since it was one of her favorites too.

It was Bradley's 2nd month "birthday" yesterday, thought it would be rough but today was actually harder. No testing or doctor appointments, just trying to understand my body. I'm on my first cycle after Bradley and its a little weird! Hoping together a BFP for Christmas but that only gives us one shot.
GTKY: What is your favorite Chistmas/Holiday movie of all time?
I'm not a big Christmas movie person, but one that I will watch is the first Santa Clause! So great!
Update: Still waiting on my first post 2nd loss. If she's on time, it should be sometime before Sunday. But no PMS, so I get the sneaking suspicion that she's gonna take her sweet time.
GTKY: It's technically a Christmas special, but's still my favorite. Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, the claymation one. I know it's corny, but I watch it every year.

I'm sorry your having a rough time. (((((Hugs))))) I think we all feel pressure to get that BFP before the end of the year. I know I do. I hope your body cooperates and levels out soon.
My sister isn't a huge Christmas movie lover either. The complete opposite of me. I remember taking her to see The Santa Clause when it first came out. It was my senior year of HS and she was in 6th grade. I had hoped to make her a convert. She enjoyed it, but I didn't win her over to everything Christmas.

I am guilty of watching Rudolph when it comes on too. Then I sit back and marvel at the patience to took to create something like that.
