Does a Monitor like this exist?

I want a monitor that has a split screen so I can see both children at the same time, and also HEAR them at the same time... Does this even exist? Anything close to that? Thanks so much!

Re: Does a Monitor like this exist?

  • I have not heard of a baby monitor doing this but you could look into wifi cameras. You watch them on a tablet, laptop, desktop. I would think there would be able to show both but the sound might be more difficult.

We have the motorola ones that the camera moves. I have to have one that pans and tilts in my big boys room. I thought the scanning between cameras would drive me crazy but it doesn't.

  • lurking here... but... I have a Withings monitor for my iPhone. I can do a split screen (once we buy a second camera when #2 comes) but I don't think you can hear both at the same time...

  • If I can at least find a monitor with a split screen then I can just buy an audio monitor for babys room. Their rooms are on the other side of the house so it's definitely necessary. I'm shocked nothing like this exists!

  • It's probably because the scan function switches between the channels every 30 seconds. You don't miss much between the rooms especially at night. Plus the screens on most baby monitors are not big enough to see two rooms at once. Our parent unit is only has a 3.5 inches across screen. It would be extremely hard to make out anything if both showed up.

  • With most you can do an auto-scan so it goes back and forth (video and audio) every 30 seconds or so.  You wouldn't miss much.  I mean, I get that you want to spring to action the moment your baby cries, but it does seem like overkill to have video and audio monitors in each room.

  • Didn't know auto scan existed! We currently have the summer infant video monitor, anyone know if this has auto scan? If so, I'll just buy a 2nd camera.

Not to me with 2 under 2. I want to be able to hear them both at night as like I said, their rooms are on the other side of the house, and if they do wake I'd like to be able to see them, see if they are standing up or just sleep crying. No need for the snark..

    Thanks everyone!

I Have the motorola and it switches between cameras every 10 sec I think. You can also leave it on one camera so if you hear crying you can change and stay I that kid as long as you want. Also you can move the camera from the monitor. That feature is great for my toddler when she gets up and moves to the other side if her crib.
  • We have a Summer infant touch screen. When you click on the home screen and then camera button, it says that you can add a camera. I would do that, and we are going to have out Angel Care monitor in the new baby's room. We used it with our first and LOVED it.
  • We have two IP cameras (Foscam). I can watch, listen to, or even talk to (if my computer had a mic) both at the same time. I have software on my computer to watch them at home. I also have an app on my phone that allows me to watch them from anywhere I go. It does take a little bit of networking knowledge to get them set up, but Foscam has great customer service that will help you out. We paid less than $150 for both cameras.
