Hi ladies,
It's been a while. I've commented from time to time, but it's been so hard to keep up with my work, motherhood, being a wife, and everything else in between, let alone come on here. I'm not sure things are settled, especially with the holidays around the corner, but there are quite a few of you that I miss seeing and hearing updates from. Time has just slipped through my fingers. I'm going to try to check in atleast once a day or every other day. I can't promise to be a PW But I do promise to stop in.
For those of you I don't know - I've been part of the bump since June 2010. I experienced a late loss at 25 weeks. My baby boy, Logan, fought hard in the NICU for 11 days. I moved to TTCAL shortly after visiting the MC/Loss board. DH wanted to start trying right away. It took us exactly a year of charting, fertility meds for ovulation issues, and finally a break from it all before getting pregnant with our rainbow around Logan's 1st birthday, October 2011. After a high risk pregnancy, a cerclage, weekly p17 shots, preterm labor for 6+ weeks, we finally got to meet our healthy beautiful baby girl at 36 weeks on June 18 of this year...She was born on my birthday! Emma is now 5 months old. She was born tiny but has grown like a weed ever since.
We are currently experiencing some heavy teething symptoms as well as what I believe to be the 4 month wakeful. I miss my happy baby...but I know this doesn't last forever.
As for me - I'm a working mother who pumps and breastfeeds. DH works part time and is a SAHD. I wish I could stay home but it just doesn't make sense for us. I'm a little bit crunchy, a little bit AP, and totally figuring this parenting thing out and what works best for our family day by day.
I look forward to catching up with old friends and getting to know the ones I don't know.
