Well, after lurking around this week, I decided it's time to introduce myself and ask if you'll let me join the group.  I just had my 3rd m/c.  I believe this one was doomed from the start...I knew early on something was wrong as I had the same symptom I had with my 2nd m/c but MH told me not to be so negative (this was his first).  My other 2 M/C were many years ago.  Anyhow I have just finished with the bleeding and am really struggling with the emotional pain. I forgot how painful and hurtful this loss feels.  Even though it was so early and I never saw my baby, it still feels very real. Especially since it was planned.  My dr. didn't say anything about testing...she said she is hopeful for me since I had one success, but I don't want to go through this again if I don't have to.  I posted about this on another board, and a few people responded, all saying I should request testing. My husband keeps asking me WHY it happened...I think he wants to "fix" the problem.  My dr. cleared us to start trying again after one cycle, so we will start once I get my next period if I am emotionally ready. This has been especially hard b/c I didn't tell any of my friends and MH is having a hard time understanding my pain and doesn't really know what to do to support me.  I have been on here everyday...knowing I am not alone is my only comfort.

I have decided I am going to discuss it with him tonight, that I would like to meet with the dr. next month and request testing. After 3 losses, I don't think that's too much to ask! Anyhow, I hope to be an active member here and help support and give advice as much as I can. GL to all of you on your journey and I appreciate any support or advice you can give.


BFP #1 ended in MMC. Discovered Oct 2005 @10w5d, baby stopped growing around 6w. D&C.
BFP#2 Nov 2005. Baby's heart stopped @ 8w3d. D&C Jan 2006. Trisomy 18
BFP#3 Nov 2006. My "miracle baby" DD born 7/25/07
BFP #4 11/6/12. EDD 7/16/13~my birthday! No sac found @ 5w1d, betas not increasing. Natural m/c started 11/20/12.

BFP#5 11/9/13.  EDD 7/21/14  Our beautiful rainbow born on his due date!!

    I am so sorry for your losses. Welcome to the board. A lot of husbands have a difficult time, especially with understanding a woman's grief over an early loss. And it is normal to want to "fix" the problem so that you don't have to go through this again. But after 3 losses, I am sure that you should be able to get some testing done. Best of luck to you.

    I am so sorry for your losses. Most men have a hard time understanding what we are going through, so I'm glad you found this board. We have all experienced losses at different stages, but we all understand eachother. Like you said, just knowing you're not alone is a great comfort, and there is a lot of support here if you decide to become a more active poster. I can't really give you advice about testing, as this loss was my first pregnancy, but it seems that everyone reccomends it after a 3rd loss. I hope that you and DH can get some answers from your dr. and can move forward. GL to you, and welcome.

    I'm sorry for your losses. Welcome to the board. I hope you are able to get some answers through testing.

    I'm so sorry for your losses. I think 3 losses is kind of the standard for having testing done.... It is for my OB's practice anyway, so hopefully it won't be difficult to get the process started. I'm sorry you find yourself here but welcome.
