If I drop a pump session... and my pumping output is already crap, is it going to decrease? And if I end up giving a bottle of formula a day during the week, will I also have to give a bottle on the weekends? What about 2 bottles?
I'm really ready to regain some sanity and drop at least one pump session... I've pumped 3x already today and don't have enough for 2 of the 3 4oz bottles DS gets at DC. I want to continue nursing, but I'm seriously at the end of my rope with pumping and ready to be done - one of these days (maybe today) I'm going to whing that evil thing at the wall a bunch of times. If I have to hear that farking "wonk wonk" sound much more I'm going to lose my ever loving mind. Which I pretty much am already there, I hate pumping with every oz of my being. And fenugreek makes DS spitup. I use mothers milk tea but I am a sucky pumper. My body hates it as much as my mind does.

Pumping does SUCK so agreed. My DD is 10 months and I finally made the decision to drop a pumping session. I'm down from pumping twice a day to one. However, I still have a pretty good supply. In my one session I'm pumping between 5-7 oz. I also still BF in the morning, and at home whenever I'm not at work.
I think, that dropping a pumping session might reduce your production, BUT it might not. If you continue BFing all the other times you might be ok. It sounds like you can probably keep BFing a little while longer until you're out of milk and your baby is weaned and you can introduce WCM or some other kind of milk and just skip over the formula.
I would drop the one session and see how it goes.
Also i'm not sure how much your LO is drinking all day but my baby is down to one 5 oz bottle with the nanny. I have told the nanny to try putting milk in a sippy cup to see if she drinks more milk during the day. She is still waking up at 5 am to eat, and eats at 7 am and eats as soon as I get home at 6 pm and I nurse her to sleep, and I'm still having pretty strong let downs each time, so I think she's still getting enough milk, but mostly from me and less from the bottle during the day.
Good luck, you've done awesome.
