Spitting up still?

Anyone else's LO still spitting up?

DS spits up a ton, especially after he nurses. For whatever reason when he drinks from a bottle he spits up a lot less. It's really frustrating and gross. I'm not sure there's really anything I can do other than continue to wipe it up and change his clothes. DD stopped spitting up right around 8-9m so I'm hoping he outgrows it soon!

Re: Spitting up still?

  • Yep! Ian spits up with every bottle pretty much. My mom says it's pay back because I was a puker 'til I was about 1. I asked my pedi about it and she said some babies just do. I've tried to pin point it to something...like is he allergic to milk products, is it a certain food. I've not been able to pin it down...so I guess he's just a puker.

  • Lauren spits up a lot. She does much better after food and usually only spits up after bottles. It's nasty! My son stopped at around a year so hopefully Lauren gets with the program soon!

  • Maddy probably has a little spit up once a day, and I usually find a little white spot on the rug.  She had reflux when she was younger and the pedi always told me that spit up is a laundry problem, not a medical problem.  I think as long as they are guzzling formula/BM, spit up can be expected!

  • Yes, Reece does. It's normal... the babies are so mobile now that after they eat, it's sloshing around in their tummies causing them to spit-up. Makes sense.... it is gross.. especially when you get it down your cleavage and down to your belly button. SICK!!!

  • Addy usually spits up a tiny bit close to daily. Although it is thankfully very rare now that she spits up a large amount. She used to do that a lot.

  • Nat will spit up when given dairy. She stopped the major pulling at 6mos. I'm sure this is normal, though. My brother would spit up as he crawled across the floor and leave a trail behind him. Some babies just spit up a lot!

  • L still spits up.  Not nearly as much as he used to, but he still does.  Like a PP, he spits up more if he has dairy.  I am not sure what that means when we switch from BF to WCM.  He has reflux, so it's not uncommon for him to spit up several times a day.  I can't WAIT until we are done with his medicine.

I almost woke up my baby laughing at this!
  • Yeah Kellen still spits up a good amount.  I think when they are nursing sometimes they get caught up in the comfort and forget to stop.  As I was reading this Logan says "Ew Mommy Kellen just spit up on me!"  Haha!
