I am a nurse so I know some things this could be. But I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this symptom? My fingers are swollen. They don't look swollen but they feel swollen and it is hard to get my rings on and off. It seems worse in the morning but is still there to some degree throughout the day. This has been going on for a few weeks. Any thoughts? My mom has rheumatoid arthritis and I am terrified this could be an early symptom of that. I do have a physical scheduled next month so I will ask my doctor what she thinks. I also have thyroid issues and am wondering if this could be related to that if my Synthroid dose needs adjusting.

Re: NBR medical question
Since you're a nurse, your guess is probably better than mine. I'd bring it up to the doctor at your next visit, especially since you do have other heath issues.
Fingers do naturally swell at night, so it could be nothing to worry about. I'd make sure to drink plenty of water, avoid salty foods, and sleep without my rings. Hope that makes it better until you see your doctor.
