Enfamil Lipil vs. Enflora?

Will it make a difference if we have to get one vs. the other? Last week we went to dr. and they gave us the enflora can samples, this time the Lipil, but I didn't realize until we got home.

Also, couldn't we use Similac Allimentum? We have tons of Similac checks...

Re: Enfamil Lipil vs. Enflora?

  • Are you referring to Nutramigen.  DD is dairy, egg and peanut allergic.  We use Alimentum.  With Nutramigen we still had bloody and mucus diapers, eczema was still there (weeping & bloody) and congestion along with colic.

Alimentum did the trick (for us).

  • thanks! since posting this we have switched to babys own, which is by nature's one. DS had an allergic reaction to the nutramigen with LIPIL. ugh. His face swelled up, it was so scary. Now we still have the weepy eczema, but it's only been 2 days.

Is it soy?  If it's the "LactoRelief" then the eczema may still persist.  MSPI is an intolerance to cow's protein... LactoRelief is for babies who are lactose intolerant.
