I got him a few puzzles and blocks, but that is it! I still have unopened birthday gifts and so I plan on wrapping them and sticking them under the tree. We are on toy overload and my house is just too tiny for any more. When asked, we told people to buy him music sing-a-long cd's for the car and a few winter clothing items. This child has WAY too much stuff as it is.
We're getting Abby a play kitchen -- not sure if it's going to be from Santa or not. I'm not entirely sure we're really going to do "Santa" this year -- seems young, still. I also got her a few puzzles off of Zulily. I also need to get her a new book -- that's going to be a "traditional" Christmas gift every year.

DD loves her play kitchen, Good choice! The metal play pots and pans from Ikea are also a good addition.
We're not getting her much. Some clothes, bath toys, books, and some sorting toys. I'll wrap the toys from Santa and the clothes from us. I know that the grandparents are going to get her a lot of toys and she will be overwhelmed with everything, so I don't want to overdo it.
Same here. Her big gift from us will (hopefully) be a playroom in one of our spare bedrooms. We'll see what I can manage before Christmas. Oh the things I would do if only I had time and money
We're getting DD a play kitchen and a few accessories to go with it. Other than that, I'll put some things in we stocking that I'd buy anyway...Desitin, headbands, crayons, goldfish, etc.
We're getting T the Fischer Price Little People Nativity playset. It was on sale at Target.
We're planning to have it packed away with the Christmas stuff each year so it will be special when it comes out and she can play with it. That's the only thing we're buying her because she'll be getting a bunch of stuff from grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles and since she's too little to know the difference. Ha!
DD has this ! She has taken a likingto the baby Jesus. She will literally just walk up and down the hall holding it. Maybe she thinks she is taking him for a walk ?

So far I've got a coat, gloves and hat, a puzzle, 2 baby einstein dvds, some books, and a piggy bank. I want to order a growth chart to put on his closet door. I haven't been to a toy store yet. I'm not sure what toys to get, but probably something involving cars.
Since our children have their birthday after the warm weather (at least here in the midwest), she didn't get much to play with outside. I decided to buy her a climber/sandbox toy for when it gets warm outside. I also bought her some puzzles.

DD is getting a Fisher Price Little People house with 6 people, a Fisher Price shape sorter kitchen with play food and pots and pans from learning resources (this is going to be her kitchen until we move and I can get her a big kitchen for a playroom), and three baby einstein dvds.
DH thinks I am going overboard because she got so much stuff for her birthday and she doesn't need any more toys. My argument is that I can't get her anything practical because she has everything she could possible NEED so my only choice is to get her things that she does not NEED and that I want to get her.

MIL has this from C's cousin. She got it out over Thanksgiving, and C kept on picking up baby Jesus and throwing him.
She wants to keep it at her house so he has something to play with, but I want to buy it for him to have over here. She lives across the state, so we'd only see it once a year. I think that after he gets over throwing Jesus, he'd like to play with it.
For Christmas stockings, he is going to get those Gerber puffs, animal cookies, fat crayons, and maybe a new truck. I also bought Melissa & Doug wood puzzles when they were on sale at Amazon, and we have an unopened box of blocks from his birthday. I'd love to get him a play kitchen, but the ones that I want are just too much $.
We got DS some books, a dump truck, and he will be getting a ride on toy. I am still trying to convince DH to get him a kitchen as well. I also got him a rain coat. We are not going to be buying a ton of stuff this year as he will get so much from other family members.

DD LOVES little people and walks around with Noah from the Noah's Arc set...too funny.
DD is getting the little people farm and talking tree, the tag junior from leap frog and this sesame street elmo book thing that talks. I'm sure she is getting way too much from grandma and her aunts and uncles.

LOL at both of your LOs. And sorry Chunstad, but I think taking Jesus for a walk is nicer than throwing him so G wins.
Glad they both like playing with it though. I wanted T to have a nativity set that she could play with and set up as she gets older and thought this was a good buy. I'm only sad it didn't have shepherds with it...I might buy those separately eventually.
Yea, but if you throw him, doesn't he get to where he needs to go faster?
DD is getting a simple duplo set (she's a little young for them, but she loves playing with the bricks at our library), a wooden pull-along alligator and a shape sorter.
I bought R the VTech bouncing colors turtle for $15 from Walmart. He's also getting some clothes, a wooden train, puzzle, pajamas and FP iPhone case. In his stocking, he's getting some bath crayons, a coloring book and some snacks.
Chunstad...you are killing me over here! I am LMAO about the baby Jesus and hoping that none of my co-workers hear me busting up laughing all alone in my office!

I got this last year after Christmas on sale and just put it out in A's room last week. I walked in one morning and noticed baby Jesus (just him!) was missing. A had moved him and put him in the lion cage in his little people zoo. Oh boy!
To answer the post.. From Santa, he is getting a play kitchen with some M&D food to go with it. The tractor to go with the little people farm (my sister is getting him this), A pillow racer (my mom has one as his house and he is too little to do it on his own but he is OBSESSED!!), 3 M&D peg puzzles, one of those peg benches he can hammer, a thomas the train toy, mega blocks, the little people airplane and a firetruck that has a bead maze on the back of it.
DH and I are getting him the M&D band in the box and then one of the fisher price sound puzzles. I'm going to wrap those and let him "open" them on Christmas eve.
DS is getting the fisher price laugh and learn kitchen, M&D crawl through tunnel, Chica plush doll, some more animals for his zoo talker set, the little tykes grill play set for outside, and I'm trying to decide whether or not to get him a toddler trampoline too. I'm thinking I will, but I feel like I already got too much. For his stocking he's getting star wars socks, some books, the dc comic little people zoomer cars, and fat crayons. Edit: because I forgot one thing.
We got DS an Innotab 2. I realize he's a little young, but we got one for DD and it didn't seem fair not getting one for him. Plus he loves my iPad and really gets some of the apps so I think he'll love it. We used their money we got for their birthdays to get them these, so we technically didn't pay for them. These will probably be from Santa.
We also got him the M&D Fold & Go Castle. An embroidered Toy Story blanket from Disney, a bathrobe, a book, and PJs for Christmas Eve.
ETA: also, MIL got him M&D wooden blocks and a Sesame Street ball pit/tent/tunnel thing.

Thats her big gift. She got bath tub books, a big cuddly fleece blanket, some chunky puzzles and I honestly forget what else lol.

sounds like us......our Apple stock is Gator's college fund. So far, she can go to school for three years. Lets hope it doesn't go down!
