OPK ?

Hello Ladies,

Well I started charting today and I will soon again start OPK. So I was wondering last time I tested every day at 2:30pm. So i tested at 2:30 and got a an then next day i forgot and tested at 5:30 and it was .Why do I see that some ladies test twice a day? Also, why is it important to test every day at the same time? I am sorry if it sound like dumb Question.

Thank you very much
Happy Thursday, only one day from Friday yey.

This...but I think I got the gist of your question.  I test twice a day (late morning and early evening) because I've had pretty short surges in the past and if I test once a day, I could miss my +.  For example, two cycles ago I had a -opk at 10:00am, I got a  +opk at 5:30pm that same day, when I tested again the next morning at 10:00 am, it was -again.  Had I only tested in the mornings, it would have missed the surge.  This month, I had 2 days of positives, but I would rather be safe than sorry so I invest in a boat load of cheapie wondfo opks and just go crazy!

  • I think the reason they say to test at the same time every day is that if you're only testing 1x a day, you could miss it if you go for more than 24 hours without testing. I test 2x a day early in my cycle (like around CD11) with FMU and around 2:30 and then around CD15 I start testing 3x a day and if it's questionable, I test with a digital. My surges are short so I have to test a lot to catch it. peeonastick.com has a lot of information!

    This.

    My example:

I got an almost pos opk in the am, tested again mid-day got a hard core pos, tested again the next am and it was neg.  So if I had not tested again that mid day I would have missed it.  That happened to be the cycle I got pg.
