Trying to Get Pregnant

Those who had their IUD removed...

I had my IUD removed last Wednesday and a few days later started bleeding for a short 2 days. Heavier then I had with my IUD (usually I just spotted for a few days). In your experience, should I count that as the start of a new cycle? Obviously I have no idea what to expect with my cycles now.

Thanks!

EDIT: I'm sorry. I see someone asked a similar question below.

Re: Those who had their IUD removed...

  • I would count it as AF. Two days after I got mine removed my AF returned and had a completely normal cycle after that.

  • I spotted a few days after removal and then I got my af 2 weeks later.. . did you spot right after removal/ .  if there wasn't a break then I wouldn't count it as AF, if there was a break, then I would say it is probably AF.
  • I spotted/had light flow for 3 days about 4 days after removal. I counted it as removal bleeding. I got my period 37 days later.

  • I would count it. In addition to the other thread you can see on page 1 you could also google Mirena removal + thebump.com and it will probably pull up a ton of other older threads that people have weighed in on.

I actually didn't spot right after removal so that is why I think I'm going to count it as the start of AF for this cycle.

    Thanks for the advice ladies.
