what book are you reading?

Or listening? I've got a few on my kindle and audible, but I'm always on the hunt for a good read.I'm currently reading Hitchens and Palahniuk.

  • Relistening to Voyager, part of the Outlander series, and The Power of One.

  • I can't remember the last book I read.
I should probably read a book.

  • Recently, I read Defending Jacob - awesome book.  Can't recommend it more. These Things Hidden was good too, though fair warning that there is infant death in it.  Currently reading Courageous, but having a hard time with it.  It is our book club pick this month.

Currently reading Cloud Atlas.nbsp; I'm about exactly 50 done.nbsp; So far I'm enjoying it, though it has it's ups and downs as far as readability.
I am trying to push through Book 4 of Game of Thrones so I can read Book 5.nbsp; I'll make it eventually but good lawd Book 4 is slow.

    Thanks all!

I want to read Game of Thrones, too. I have never seen the show, because I chose Showtime over HBO. However, I will be renting them some day. I have the Dexter book series, but I am a little disappointed in the second book. The writing is lackluster.

  • Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman. I know the author personally, and this is his second book. It is creepy, gory, blasphemous, irreverent, funny, smart, and terrifying. In other words, it's everything I look for in a book.

  • This is embarrassing.

I've been trying to finish Jane Austin's "Persuassion" for  like 6 MONTHS now, but I'm having such a hard time on it.

I actually stopped and read "Water for elephants" in two days, so now I'm back to it, technically. UGH.

  • Star Island- a really light brain candy kind of read. My last round of books were rather heavy so I went in a different direction.

BTW, don't read Sarah's Key unless you are ready to cry for days and be unsettled for a week.

  • If you like Chuck P you'll probably like David Sedaris and Augustus Burroughs. Sorry for the spelling. I'm too lazy to google. I read a bunch of their books and they have a wonderful dark sense of humor.

I just finish The Source of Magic. On to Castle Roogna next when I can find it in the caos that is my house.

I'm working my way through the Xanth series too! I read a few here or there when I was younger, and really enjoyed them, so now I'm going through them all.

Plus The Happiest baby on the Block just came in at the library for me so I'm gonna start that too.

And I just finished up re-reading Nora Roberts Sisters trilogy. It's always been one of my favorite trilogies from her.

  • The 3rd Game of Thrones book. But I've been at that for a while. I like parts of it, but find his writing tedious at times.
