Good morning ladies!
This is a check-in for ladies who had an EDD or a loss in May (of any year). I am so sorry for every one of your losses. I hope that this can be a place for everyone to support each other through this difficult time. Everyone is welcome!
Members, please give us an update on how you are doing. Newbies, introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about you so that we can get to know you.
You are all safe from seeing BFP's for today. I think I am going to remove the graduates section though, after comments made here last week, and conversations I've had with some ladies.
And just a note, I'm going to be in and out today. So I will respond at some point, but it might take a bit if I am out.

KatieintheCity - How is the 2WW going? You might actually be on your trip right now, I can't remember when you were leaving. Hopefully the trip helps you take your mind off of testing for a few days!
Gatorsgirl731 - I also am glad for the friends I've made here
I see AF finally decided to show, yay! Are you all ready for your FW? Anything else to share?
Lindsayanne79 - How are you doing with your 2WW? Are you feeling optimistic? Anything else going on with you?
madeinbrazil - Did you end up confirming ovulation? I am sorry that your cycle is being wonky, and I hope that things are better with your family this week.
Egsquared - I haven't seen you around much
Did AF end up showing up? If so, have you called the RE to make a plan?
algalphys - Welcome! Another Canadian on the board! How is your cycle looking? How are you doing with the news about your aunt? I hope that things are looking up for you.
mdharrison - I see you bought yourself some FW-wear - very nice! How are you feeling as your FW approaches? Anything else to share with us today?
lsuhoneybadger - I think that you are still out of town. I hope that things are going well. I'm glad that your testing came back normal, but I hope that you are able to get some kind of an answer to move forward with when you go back to the RE.
TheatreStar86 - How is the 2WW going? Have you tested yet? Were the holidays a good distraction for you?
poohbear033 - I haven't seen you around much lately and I know that you are having a rough time. If you see this, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry and I hope that things turn around for you. Big ((hugs))
--------------------------------------------------------------------
QOTW - Do you do any special baking for the holidays? If so, what yummy treats do you make? PIP's welcome!
Inspiration of the week - I think that sometimes simple is needed, and sometimes you need to just take a step back and breathe. (At least I do!). I love the black and white, the beach, and the simplicity of this one.

---------------------------------------------------------------
And finally, big, squishy (((hugs))) to anyone who needs them today!
Re: ~*~ May Flowers Check-In ~*~
And my update for the week.
My body is still being a douche and I'm not impressed. I have threatened so many times to return it for a good body that works in my life lol I am seriously frustrated though. I am in a seemingly never ending FW, making this yet another long cycle, which I am just so not used to, and it annoys me that longer cycles = fewer chances to conceive. I love my DH and everything, but I don't know how much longer I can keep up this EOD act lol FWP just isn't the same as FWOP and we need a break! So FX!
As for the QOTW - I do lots of holiday baking! My favourite is the sugar cookies that I make and decorate with my grandma. We do it a few times a year and it means a lot. And they are sooo yummy lol
Gatorsgirl731 - I also am glad for the friends I've made here
I see AF finally decided to show, yay! Are you all ready for your FW? Anything else to share?
Yes Yay for AF! I was expecting more from her, but she only gave me one day of real missery. BTW that was a statement not a complaint, I don't want to offend the AF Gods and have them take revenge. Am I ready for FW......well yesterday I would have said HECK YEAH bring it on! But this morning DH has me in a tizzy and I'd rather punch him than dtd. Oh gosh and he is clueless to what is wrong, he has short term memory loss when it comes to him being an a$$. I've been watching my chart like I know what I am doing, I have decided that it looks like the little dipper or the big dipper I get them confused. I am also having a REALLY bad hair day, my hair is like Medusa, if I'm in a mood so is it. I'm cranky and rambeling at this point. Thanks for the check in KM.
QOTW - Do you do any special baking for the holidays? If so, what yummy treats do you make?
I'm the baker so I do lots. The most requested is peanut butter balls, fudge, my sugar cookies, & peanut brittle. This year for our Christmas Party at work I am doing Smores cups....I saw it on pinterest, so it my turn into a fail but I'm gonna try.

***All AL'ers Welcome***
My first post-loss AF was not as crazy as I thought she would be either. It hurt like a b*tch but it was short (not complaining about that!). The next one will probably kill me haha I'm sorry your DH is being douchey and your hair is having a bad day. Big ((hugs)) gators! I hope that the day gets better for you!
Also, awesome job on the baking. Everything sounds delish!
Hi km! Hope you're doing well!
The holidays were a nice distraction - I just relaxed and didn't even work. Which was probably bad for getting my work done, so today will be a bit difficult to get through!
I have not tested yet. I'm crossing my fingers and my plan is to test tomorrow. I didn't want to be distracted today - one way or the other.
QOTW - No, I don't usually do holiday baking. I'm make the occasional cookie, but I tend to get bored part way through and the second half always looks awful....

My Ovulation Chart
Hi Everyone!
Lindsayanne79 - How are you doing with your 2WW? Are you feeling optimistic? Anything else going on with you?
I'm doing pretty well so far...I'm 1 week in, I'll test next Thursday which is the day that AF is due. After a bit of an emotional breakdown this past CD1, I surrendered all of my hpts to DH and told him to hide them from me until the day AF is due...I regetted doing it on CD2!
The 2WW is probably the most exciting thing going on in my life right now...pretty pathetic, I know!
Hope everyone has a good week and hugs to anyone who needs them!
QOTW- I'm more of a cook than a baker, but I found a recipes for whiskey caramels I'm thinking about trying, if there any good, I'd like to give them as gifts!

FX for you! I'm glad that the holidays were a nice distraction for you. Good luck catching up on your work!
Hi ladies!
Well the spotting finally stopped on Monday (Yah M/C OVER!!) and I'm feeling a little more like myself these days. So as of now we aren't TTC but waiting for AF to show, which I'm hoping will be in a few weeks then we will be TTC again. I have to make my 6 week follow up appointment (which I should have done on Monday but forgot) with my surgeon/OB from another city. I am swamped at work these days so it's been a great distraction. I have however had a few BFP announcements in the last few weeks that stung but I'm trying to not let them get to me. As for my aunt, she is stable enough to be moved to a nursing home but we don't know when a spot will be available. She seems to be doing better since being put on anti-swelling drugs.
QOTD-Fluck no, I'd love to bake but I don't have time...this is generally the busiest time of year for work. Companies are trying to squeeze every last project in they can before the end of the year and before the ground freeze solid!
FX crossed for you lady!! It might be good to have DH holding those pee sticks hostage. Hopefully you don't stress too much. Your life isn't pathetic - because if it was, mine would be too lol
I'm glad that the spotting has stopped and you've found some distraction, although bfp announcements suck. I'm sorry for that. I'm also glad that your aunt is doing better. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts! Be sure to let us know how your appointment goes when you have it!
Oh girl... I'm sorry for all this mess we are in! Hopefully it will be all back to normal soon. :::hugs:::

madeinbrazil Did you end up confirming ovulation? I am sorry that your cycle is being wonky, and I hope that things are better with your family this week.
Ovulation did happen, at a stunning CD13! I'm lucky that I started using opk's at CD 10, since from past cycles my ovulation was between CD 16 and 22, I really did not expect it so soon.
Now I'm on the crazy train, 5DPO And scared to even take a test!
QOTD: I love baking! This year I will go with the traditional chocolate chip cookies and maybe try those s'mores cups from PP!
Hope you guys have an easy end of week.

I'm glad that you O'd!! And at a real nice CD too! FX for you that the rest of your 2WW goes by quickly! Awesome news
I guess I'm a newbie. My EDD was 5/13/13. It was my first pregnancy. I have a step daughter who is 11 years old. I was 10 weeks when I found out there was no heart beat (10/15/12) and had a D&C on 10/18/12 and got my first period on 11/17/12. Our doctor recommended we wait 2 cycles to start trying again so We'll be actively trying in December though things are starting to finally feel (sort of) normal again.
We live in Northern VA and I am a social worker. We've been together for over 8 years though married for just a year and a half. My step daughter didn't know we were expecting yet though my husband ended up telling her after the D&C that we lost a baby because we (actually just me) couldn't get out of bed for a while and she was confused.
I'm trying to switch doctors, I have an appt with a midwife next week for an interview because I wasn't really happy with our first round of things. With chart stalking a few of you guys I am considering starting to chart this time, last time I just had a really normal cycle and didn't have much trouble at all but I feel like this charting thing will either help me to feel more in control OR cause me to be more of an anxious mess..we'll see.
Anyway, You ladies have been the support system I need when I feel like no one else knows what I'm going through. I appreciate everyone here so very much!
-My step-daughter is 12 years old.
-BFP #1 on 9/2/12, D&C 10/18/12 no heartbeat on US @ 10 weeks.
-BFP #2 on 1/7/13, R was born on 9/22/13 via C-Section
Egsquared - I haven't seen you around much
Did AF end up showing up? If so, have you called the RE to make a plan?
I've just been lurking about. AF did show up, and I've been feel pretty down about it. This was our last chance before IVF. I seriously can't believe we're at this point. I'll be starting an estrogen prescription today that basically suppresses your natural cyle and prevents ovulation so that I'm ready for their January IVF cycle. I have to schedule a consult with one of the nurses this month to learn more about meds and schedule. I'm already nervous and terrified that it won't work - real optimistic, huh?
QOTW: I am not a baker, but my MIL is and they are coming here for a week at Christmas. I'm hoping she'll be up for baking something yummy!
I really hope you're right! I can't shake the feeling that this is a bad sign... I'm afraid my LP will be wonky too... But for now I can only wait. Thanks for the support, as always you're great.

I am so sorry you are here, but I'm glad that you found us. The ladies on this board are fantastic. I will add you to our list for the next check-ins
Good luck with finding a new doctor.
I'm so sorry that AF showed up and you are feeling down. I don't blame you for not feeling optimistic, that must be so hard on you. I wish you the best of luck and I hope that you keep us updated on what is happening and how you are doing. Big ((hugs))
Good luck with everything! FX for you! New furniture is exciting too, and cooking for Christmas. I hope that things continue in a positive direction for you!
It really sucks to have cycles all wonky, especially if you aren't used to that. I hope that you can try to stay positive. FX for you!
