So LO is measuring 40 weeks already. DD was also big (a large 10.5 pounds), so I am not surprised, and she was born on my due date. LO is also lying fairly low. That doesn't mean I'm going early though.
Everyone keeps saying, "Oh, there's no way you'll go 40 weeks." It's starting to piss me off. I have work scheduled up until a week before my due date which I need to get done, and I'm also planning on doing most of my nesting (baby laundry, cleaning, etc.) the weekend before. I do not want this baby early. Stop telling me I'm screwed.
Vent over.
Re: I'm NOT going early
Today was my last day at work and I'm due Friday, I would have worked through Friday but I have a dr appt tomorrow and a family wake Friday. This is baby #3 for me, DS1 was 15 days late, DS2 was 10 days late and this last baby doesn't seem to be in a hurry to get here.
You know your body and although things can change quickly, remember people say funny things around pregnant women. A co-worker called me "optomistic" a month ago when I told him I had 4 weeks left, I told him good-bye today and he smiled and said good luck. My boss has been asking me to take leave for the past two weeks so I don't go into labor at work. Now only if DH and my kids would realize how pregnant I am and feel right now and quit acting like I have the same energy to wait on them hand & foot. lol GL!
