the one thing you never want when you CD...

A broken washing machine. So glad I did a load of diapers today. When I went down to swap my clothes around, there was a massive puddle on the floor. Hoping it is a simple fix. DH should be able to figure it out if it is but I really don't want to buy a new washer.

Re: the one thing you never want when you CD...

  • Well, DH chose to ignore my asking him to go check it out. Tried not to nag. After dinner as I asked when he thought he would go check it out. He shrugged his shoulders at me. And now he is asleep in his chair.

We discussed him being less selfish (which he admitted to on his own and then apologized) and helping more. Then he pulls this crap.

I am so hurt and angry right now.

I love my DH so much and he is a great man....but like anyone, he has faults. And this is one of them.

Oh, sister, I hear you on this one.  I don't feel like I have crazy high expectations, but he often doesn't meet even the smallest ones.  i.e. If there is something on the floor, don't step over it continually- pick it up!  Sigh.

Yes! DH will walk by something 6 times before he might finally notice it. But then he'll do something else like randomly vacuum and completely blow me away.

Oooooh!  And the thing he chooses to do is never what needs to be done!  Like clean the coffee pot when there is laundry sitting in the dryer getting wrinkled!  Oh I hate to b*itch, but I think we might have hit a nerve here!

Sorry your washer is broken, btw :)

Of course. Then it's like, do you complain because he didn't do what needed to be done or praise him because he actually did something. Drives me nuts.

I like to pick on DH and tell him that I only keep him around because he's good in bed. If it wasn't for that, he'd be gone. lol.

Oh my goodness this looks like a script from the feud from my house over the last couple days. I understand my husband has also been working all day but coming home sitting on the couch doesn't seem to help me any. So sorry that he would have to entertain something I ask him to do!

I hope your washer is an easy fix. If your DH doesn't get around to looking at it soon let the dirty diapers accumulate around him or his stuff. The smell should persuade him quickly! I have my fingers crossed that it's a simple fix. If it's not I cross my fingers for a year end scratch and dent model...my kind of deals!

He did finally go check it out briefly. It is the washer not from somewhere else (laundry room is also where the drains from the bathroom are and the well pump).

I'm pretty positive it is a hose under the washer. It isn't the drain as it was coming from under the washer not the drain that isn't near the washer at all.

I am very thankful that DH's car should only be around $500 to fix not the over a $1000 we originally thought. That clears up some money I saved in case we do need to buy a new washer. Yes, I will be looking for scratch and dent. I would anyway but they are in the basement. No one sees them. :)
