Convertible car seat ?

We currently have a Britax Chaperone and the sitting shoulder height is 11 inches max. Charlotte's shoulders are currently 9.5 inches so I was thinking of getting the Britax Marathon 70-G3. Is anyone else using a convertible car seat already? Should I wait on it until she is able to sit up by herself?

    We have a britax boulevard...took Gabe home in it at 7 hours old!  No need to wait!

    We have a Maxi Cosi Pria 70, LOVE it. I wish we had just gotten it instead of the infant seat. She's SO much more comfortable in her new seat and the material it's made of is awesome. 

    (Yeah, I got it on Selfie's recommendation. Haters gonna hate.)

    We have the Maxi Cosi Pria 70 too (not on Selfie's recommendation), and it is awesome!  DS has been in it since birth and has done great in it.  We never got an infant only seat.

    When should babies switch to a convertible seat? We have already moved all of the straps up to the highest settings on his current infant seat.
