Well, today was quite the experience. I had to have my NT scan, at the same time and place where we found out we had lost our first in January. I'll admit my anxiety has gotten the best of me the last few days, but everyone else has been so hopeful, so I've tried to be as well.
I immediately saw the heartbeat, and started to sob, and hearing it was just music to our ears. Rate was 169, which is close to what it was at my last ultrasound around eight weeks. Otter was in a perfect position to begin with, legs and arms flailing about, but almost immediately flipped its back to the camera. So the ultrasound tech tried in vain to get baby to go back into the right position, but baby wouldn't have it. I had an appointment with the genetic counselor/doctor, so they had me go do that first, and come back afterwards to try again with the measurements. This time, baby had flipped completely upside down, and had its hand in front of its face. No-go on the measurements again.
I'll go back in a week to see if they can get them, but I also did the MaterniT21 test, so I assume I'll know the results before then anyway. I'm just so excited and relieved to have seen that heart beating away, and baby so active.
So, without further ado, here's the one good shot we got of our stubborn gymnast. I think I'm in love.

BFP on Cycle 17 09/27/12. EDD 06/04/12! Please Stick Baby! A/S 01/22/13 Baby looking great. Officially TEAM BLUE! Jack is getting a Baby Brother! RCS scheduled for 05/29/13. William Daryll born at 9:59am on 05/29/13. Left ovary and tube removed due to peach sized tumor found during RCS. Pathology came back benign!
Seriously, thank you all so much for your support. I can not believe how lucky I am to have so many people in our corner. We have only told our Moms and two friends, so I can't shout it from the rooftop yet, so it means so much to be able to share it with y'all!
I'm starting to get hopeful, but keep having to pinch myself that baby is real. I guess all that throwing up has done little Otter some good. Ha.
